Great Victorian Rail Trail | Bikepacking Trip
Last January, we embarked on our first-ever bikepacking adventure, tackling the longest rail trail in Victoria: the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Over the course of two days, we rode a whopping 250 km from Tallarook to Mansfield and back. Despite facing the challenge of over 1000 metres of elevation and battling through intense heat, the stunning views along the way made every drop of sweat worth it.
We passed through charming towns and villages like Yea, Alexandra, Yarck, and Bonnie Doon, dodged a few fallen trees, and even spotted some sneaky brown snakes on the trail! Having attempted this route before but only making it halfway last November, completing it this time felt like a huge ach...
