It didn't turn red due to the acidic nature of HCl gas but he poured water and since HCl is highly soluble in water it became its aqueous solution which created vacuum. Thus, water came up to fill the vacuum but since the hcl solution (or hydrochloric acid) is acidic so it turned red. And yes, HCl gas is neutral because it doesn't have any ions.

Actually dry HCl doesn't produce H+ ions(which gives acidic nature to the gas), due to which blue litmus paper doesn't turn red but as soon as HCl gas is dissolved in water it produces H+ ions and thus blue litmus paper or solution turns red

No, The solution used here is phenolphthalein solution which turns pink as soon as NH3 dissolves with it, HCL on the other hand when mixing with phenolphthalein remains colourless.

Ammonia gas inside the RB Flasks

1. At first I filled the RB flask with ammonia gas prepared from the lab in an inverted position. 2. Then fitted a flask with a glass tube with rubber cork. 3. The glass tube is dipped inside the beaker containing water (phenolphthalein as an indicator). 4. When I pull out certain gas from RB flask with a syringe 💉 the water from beaker rise to meet ammonia gas in RB flask. 5. The ammonia gas present in RB flask reacts (soluble) with water so vacuum is created in the flask. 6. To fulfill the vacuum water move as fountain to the flask and colour of phenolphthalein is changed to pink due to formation of ammonium hydroxide alkali.

@@upholdjustice372 First of all you need to know RB Flask contain only NH3 (little air). So if it react with water to form NH4OH , NH3 gas is absorbed then vacuum creates due to absence of air .

It turns red litmus to blue but you must dip litmus paper in water to make it wet because ammonia is not alkali it makes alkali while dissolving in water.

You should use wet red litmus paper

It's very easy you can use either hamro patrol nepali keyboard or G board , If you're talking about Preeti/kalimati/Fantasy .... Font in MS Word in Windows it is not supported in mobile device. You should use kokila font in mobile which is like Preeti font.
