I like to think that one of the main motives that they don't show what makes Jinx cease for good to "off herself" is to make the viewer believe that she only got enough will to make a last stand, and thus be narratively coherent with her "sacrifice" with Warwick. But I'm pretty sure that Ekko said/showed something to her that made her willing to keep living, and she took the opportunity to do it in a way that could also break the "killing cycle".

JINX POV EXPLAINED To jinx it looks like every time she's almost about to pull the pin Ekko keeps taking damage. (this looks to her as he has steam and blueish plasma lingering off of him and his wounds get worse and his face paint get blown away bit by bit), she even looks at his blood dropping down at one point. She could have dismissed it as probably that new gadget on his back, she wasn't really interested in that yet and just wanted to die. Throughout, this tiny interaction u can see jinx looking at his gadget every time he rewinds time, probably putting the pieces together that when she gets the urge to pull the pin Ekko's All exhausted and glowing with steam and plasma and the z drive making Noise. and one time even sitting down to catch his breath. And when he says that he wants to try talking a friend out of blowing us up, she wants to tell him "I'm tired of talking" and jump, in order to not hurt him, she didn't realize she could hurt Ekko before the he mentioned that. That could tell where her mind was more focused on. She couldn't care too much in that state about Z drive Ekko or his blood or that steam and plasma coming, what she wanted most was to end the cycle. Thats why she didn't bother too much about all the weird things she was seeing. So, continuing, before she could reply and tell him "I am tired of talking", Ekko starts talks first. When Ekko says "I've learnt from someone very special - this grabs her attention, coz she knows he's probably talking about her (he was talking about alternate universe powder, in a way it's still her) he goes on to say, "it's never too late to build something new", then jinx sees his new z drive spinning, she notices the monkey toys spinning in them (her signature toy as a kid). Ekko notices that she noticed his invention. Then he says, "someone worth building it for". Jinx don't know what he means by that exactly but all she can understand when she puts it all together is that "the someone who it is worth building it for is probably herself". coz she sees the monkey toys in them. (jinx then ever so slightly shrugs back after he says that almost as if to say, " you really mean that?") EKKO'S MEANING BEHIND HIS WORDS Ekko: I learnt from someone very special, that no matter what happened in the past, it's never too late to build something new. (here Ekko is talking about alternate universe powder who was very special to him, and that they built something new like the z drive, regardless of his past where he gave up on powder/jinx and Zaun) Then Ekko adds: Someone worth building it for (What he means is that he built that z drive or whatever, along with Heimerdinger's big upgrade for the jinx of his own universe and that she was worth leaving the alternate universe where everything was so beautiful) (he even wanted to stay back, asking powder if he could only live in one moment, but powder tells him taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind, which he told her when he saw her wasted potential in the alternate universe - coz the jinx of his own universe although is crazy she is a huge revolutionary figure, and not just some girl helping in a bar and helping and other peoples projects) ALSO, THE CO CREATORS OF ARCANE SAID There is a deleted scene where Ekko lets jinx know that there is this version of powder who is not broken, without actually telling her, but make her believe that from her own heart, that she can feel it. I wished that Powder from the other universe could’ve gone with Ekko. Seeing Vi and Jinx’s reaction to her would’ve been heartwarming and funny.

I think the reason they cut the other scenes of the group preparing for battle comes down to this: Depicting someone talking another person out of suicide is incredibly challenging to portray realistically. If they didn't nail it, the scene could've faced major backlash, so it was a risky inclusion for the show. However, skipping it entirely would make the preparation scenes feel abrupt, as if Jinx didn’t need much convincing. Realistically, getting Jinx back on her feet would’ve required significant dialogue between her and Ekko, which might have made the episode unusually long-too long for a standard runtime, but not enough for a feature-length 90-minute episode. Additionally, placing a "preparing for battle" montage between the Ambessa-Cait conflict in Piltover would have disrupted the pacing. The preparation and costume-making bits help maintain the flow, but a longer "convincing Jinx" scene before them would have been necessary-and that’s likely where the challenge of balancing storytelling and runtime came in.

It didn't occur to me until this episode, but Ekko was probably Powder's best friend and closest relationship aside from Vi. Claggor, Mylo and Vi were always much bigger and stronger than them and had such different interests and strengths. Ekko's hoverboard astounded Heimerdinger, the oldest of Piltover's scientists. The construction of Jinx's bombs was enough to receive a compliment from Viktor. They built things with scraps that impressed some of Piltover's greatest minds. Ekko grieved the loss of someone he loved when Silco made Jinx into what she is now and, like Vi, saw Powder as dead because that was easier than admitting that she's still there. But here he recognizes that Jinx is and always has been Powder. That his best friend is still there. And Vi never really saw everything that Jinx has done. Vi never really saw the darkness that ate at her sister. Jinx may have kidnapped Caitlyn, but she never really took anyone important to Vi. On the other hand, Jinx has murdered several of Ekko's friends and he's watched her help Silco corrupt the Lanes over the years. Ekko is the only person in Powder's life who has seen who she used to be, seen her darkest parts, and forgiven her anyway.
