Fixed Ford Transit slide door locked with lock stuck in locking position
This is how to open a jammed Ford Transit slide door from the inside if the lock is stuck in locking position or reverses to locking position
You can also try putting 12V on the red and black cable of the central locking to lock or unlock it (reverse polarity), but in my case it didn't help. Leave the green cable out of this! I played with combinations of all three of them and shortened the circuit which broke the lock's electrics.
The cause of the locking mechanism being broken and moving back to locking position is that the lever of the locking mechanism won't move to the right place in the ring which is activated by the pulley (door handle), which would then enable the pulley of the ope...

i have the same problem but the little hook keep repositioning in the same position...there is a way to fix it without changing the lock mechanism
Wow, this just saved my friend’s trip! Worked just as described. Any idea on how to really fix it so I can open it without a screwdriver and - crazy, I know - even from the outside?
Hi, did you figure out how to fix the issue? Having the exact same problem
@@jamalodo2367 Unfortunately not yet. When it's a bit warmer outside I'll remove the lock entirely and will give this a try: ruclips.net/video/vl31FFAXK64/видео.html (German though). Ultimate resolution would be to just replace the lock. Should be rather easy now that the door can be opened again.
I ended squirting a bit of wd40 and it seemed to fix my issue. Good luck
@@jamalodo2367 2012 Ford Transit Connect XLT - My lock button turned fine, but the latch wouldn't release with the interior or exterior handles. Just yesterday I replaced the interior handle and the door was working perfectly, then today no good. To get to the latch release mechanism, I didn't cut anything open, I just snaked my little arm into the interior of the door (I had the panel and barrier removed yesterday for replacing the interior handle), and found the latch release cables and manually operated them, but latch stayed closed. Then I read your WD-40 response here, snaked my little arm and a spray can of white grease back near the cables, gave it couple of squirts with white grease, manually moved the mechanism, clumsily wiggled a screwdriver near the mechanism which seemed not to connect with anything, but the latch finally let go and the door opened. Once the door was opened I gave the latch some good squirts of white grease and I think it fixed forever. Thanks to you and the OP.
