I ended up extending the power wires and acc wire and mounted it to the drivers side.

I bought this exact rack for my JT, I wound up removing the cargo rails and clamping to the bedside. You aren’t joking about the wrapping, I’ve never seen anything like that in my life! One thing I could not figure out was where the long strip of padding was supposed to go. Thanks for the vid and nice JT!
