If it’s only one not working, check the bulb, check connection, is there 12 volts getting to it, check grounds aswell.

Crazy place to put it, looked like an after thought.🙄

Not unusual for carmakers to do that. If one fails, i normally change both , because the other one won’t be far behind.

Have you checked your glovebox or on the end of the dashboard to see if it’s in there? You can normally use your key to turn it.sometimes it’s on the centre console aswell.

You need to check the voltage at the connection to the fan, to see if there’s voltage from each setting. Sounds like the fan could be failing on the lower settings. Could be the resisters failing aswell. Have you done all your recalls on the car ?

Its a LHD Opel badged vehicle I brought back from Spain, so have no idea about recalls. Will try the connectors etc thanks.

It sounds like the fan, but it’s important to check the wiring and resistor.

There’s a good chance that it seized , if you’re replacing the radiator, then buy a new hose too.

You need to replace the unit. There’s plenty on eBay at a reasonable price.

China, I think. Haven’t used much to be honest. My battery powered stuff, holds up really well.

No I didn’t . I only normally disconnect the battery when there’s a risk of shorting to ground or doing electrical repairs. These are just plug and play. Obviously if you feel safer disconnecting the battery, then go ahead. Make sure you have all relevant codes etc for radios.

Check the connector and the wiring. The wiring at the connector can be quite fragile.

Mine has been pretty good upto now. But its days are probably numbered.😂

I’ll do a short on it , I’m not convinced it’s running right. It keeps flicking back to low. Watch this space. I’ve just bought a makita, which is class. I’ll do a review on it.

To be honest it’s been great so far, for minor work. But I agree , I wouldn’t buy it for anything else. I’ve got a makita impact for wheels and suspension work.

It may have broke, could be the fitting itself that’s broken. Might be worth, taking the light fitting down and having a closer look. You might need to take it apart.

They’re great, when they work, but don’t really use them. I use axle stands, aswell.

@@highgatehandyman6479 ok, do a pedal test to see if there’s any codes. Might be a vacuum leak or faulty egr. See if there’s any codes first.

Hopefully you’ll be successful, make sure everything’s airtight, keep an eye on the reservoir, make sure it doesn’t overflow or drop if there’s an issue.

Any reason why, you’d probably need thread lock on it, to hold.

Check your tie rods and ends, sounds like there’s a bit of give in the steering.

You may have a CIM unit issue, that’s normally the problem, if it’s working from the fuse box.

It seemed to be cracked all the way through, but there was no leaking. I supposed it’s re-enforced and designed not to shatter. It’s deemed as structural rather than glass window. So it’s deemed as panel repair on your insurance.

Thank you for the answer. I went to the local nissan and they told me they will check the insurance. It needs to replace only the glass part he says. He will call me. He says there will be no problem with rain or any damage from the current crack. It is the same with yours, apart the 2 left and right. And it starts at the same position as yours.

Let me know how you get on. The job is more than replacing the glass, they come as framed assembly, there’s a lot of work replacing them.
