Crazy how cultures work. In my country, there's no pressure to leave our parents house until we marry. My dad only left his parents house at 36 yo. My mom left hers at 35 yo. And I, well, I'm 23 and I have no plans of leaving them before marrying either.

Also native Floridian in my 20s, and for anyone who's young and needs that push to leave their small town, do it. At least for a little while. And especially if you have the means to do so. I started out taking short trips to visit friends in other states on my own when I was 19, and finally had the resources to move out for a bit when I was 23. Like Luna mentioned this past year has been very transformative in my life and learning to live on my own for the first time was not an easy experience. But I just had to do it. No regrets.

i loved the transparency in this video because im in a way just like you im a young black women in her early 20s seeking change and also im looking to eventually become a independent artist as well right now finnacially i have not fully recovered since the pandemic im flat broke doing surveys for some change stuck in a awful aparment where things are always breaking and no one fixes it but none the less i am extremely thankful and i used this time to develop my brand and business model for my future at home label.

Not sure why RUclips recommended this to me, because I'm a middle-aged man and I don't really watch videos like this usually. It's cool the algorithm has started promoting smaller creators though, so I'll leave a comment for engagement. I will say, as a born-and-raised Floridian (maybe that's why the algorithm did it?), that more people should try to leave here, especially younger folks. There are things I love about Florida, but there are also huge problems. The demographics are unsustainable, the economy is janky, and the culture is unhealthy. You definitely have the right idea.
