People in tree stands hate on ground hunters same as fishermen with boats hate on bank fisherman. Whoever got there first deserves to hunt the spot, simple as that. Just because you left a tree stand up doesn't mean you own the spot

He pays his part to conservation to hunt just as much as the next person. When hunting public land it is first come first serve. It sucks walking into a spot you know can produce and finding someone beat you to the gold. Sometimes you have to take the L regroup and come up with a better plan. That is the one of many things about hunting I love.

Tbh I hunt wnc public land every year every time I get in the woods it’s pitch black we’ll I had scouted a spot few months prior and came back during season when the sun popped up I noticed I had a scope glair pointed right at me it was another hunter thinking I was game lucky had my orange on we both laughed and I just left since he had the most perfect natural tree blind you could have but this where people come right beside you happens to often

I was in my tree last year had a guy walk within 30 yards of me drop pants and take a shit on public land I finally let him know that I was there how about halfway through couldn't fucking believe it

If I get to my climber and someone is hunting near by, I'll either move my climber for the day or go hunt from the ground somewhere else. If I hunted from the ground and I avoided spots on public that had stands, I would be hunting in the middle of fields. How are you supposed to know when someone else is coming to use that stand?

I use to live in Cloverport and we would travel to Tell City just for a family trip.

It’s public land, one there is no “my spot”, two if you’re where someone is going to walk into that easy, then you’re not in the right spot to start with.

Don't care on public they're just out there having fun not like us guys that are serious about our hunting and get super pissed when we plan a day out for it which for me takes a week to do on public figure out where I'm going to put boots on the ground go scout it pick a spot but then again I go where no other person would even think to be on public that's the way you got to be even on small parcels

Who cares with a deer. Go somewhere else. Turkeys is where the real pricks come out. I would never knowingly walk in on someone working a turkey and I will never back down from a straight up brawl in the woods if you have no respect for me.
