You on an XR? That mental block takes a while to overcome but there’s nothing wrong with respecting pushback. Trails are typically slower and have a softer landing

I now have an XR, and Gt, and also a Pint. The Pint is what I nose dived on. I love them all but freak out at anything over 15mph. I'm 56yr old

FLF2 was a great experience… we’ll both need to attend another. Always grateful for the folks I’ve met along the way!

Always open to it. What kind of work do you do?

Rails and Tire make a huge difference. The rails are pretty easy to install and there’s a how to video by Carve Creative if you’re new to OW. The tire isn’t bad but if you have someone local that does work or a local rider, nice to have someone to help the first time.

It’s a XR hub that I stripped and lightly polished.

Two diff rails here. Lightning rails lower the height of the footpads relative to the axle height and add some angles that help keep you locked in. Great for pavement and cruising, almost self stabilized when you hit uneven terrain. Mustache rails lower 1/4” but don’t lose much clearance. Same locked in feeling and less tippy than stock. It’s all preference of the rider but the rails change the feel of the board. Anyone local to you that you could try to feel the differences?

@@skoolynugenator1802 Lightning rails are unbelievably stable. They are great for hauling and seem to self correct when you hit uneven terrain.

GT is fine… 10 degree storage temp made the difference. TBD on rails, it’s a trade off clearance vs stability. I do love the Lightning rails but only have a miles on the mustache so far. Figured I’d edit videos I’ve been sitting on throughout the rail progression

Right?!? Wide angle doesn’t help either… but we know it was steep and you were the only one willing to try
