Nice video Sy! Lara is such a cool character and I’ve always liked her

I love Lara no matter the version but for me, peak Lara Croft for me was how she looked during the Legends, Anniversary, and Underworld trilogy. Especially that black dress from the Japan level in Legends. Angelina Jolie was the perfect actress to play her in the movies.

But gameplay wise I would say the legend trilogy captures PERFECTLY what modern and classic audiences want The OG’s Tr games really only appeal to retro gamers now of days While survivor trilogy only appeals to the 2010+ modern audiences Legend trilogy is that bridge if you want a classic feel with modern gameplay and a trilogy of games that really shows the emotional depth of Lara Croft without loosing who the character was originally suppose to be. I think for sure having the creator be the main writer for the legend trilogy and then also the Lara Croft & games really had a PERFECT understanding that both classic and survivor was kinda missing And when I say that I mean one thing for me is that classic lara they low key leaned into like a villainess side to her and survivor really honed into Lara being a hero Legend was kinda that perfect balance because I can TOTALLY see the new game taking place after the legend trilogy because we see Lara be the hero in survivor, take a bit of a dark turn later in life with the classic games, and ultimately become a protector of artifacts. Unified era connecting everything just make sense honestly lmao

Their is finally not this BATTLE needed anymore Crystal dynamics have already begun the process of unification So it starts with Tomb Raider 1-3 remastered (or evercade version) which they have retcon her backstory. So Lara from the first 3 games is now survivor Lara, later in life and an experienced tomb raider The show coming October 10th is gonna bridge the gap between shadow of the tomb raider and Tomb Raider 1 to show how survivor Lara fully transforms into the tomb raider How they are gonna bring over Tomb Raider 4 to underworld in the survivor timeline we shall see But we are now in the UNIFIED era. I’m so hyped for all these games to be connected and this conversation to ENDDD. This will just be ONE Lara at different points of her life 💚
