Hello! And welcome to my channel! I’m a hobbyist woodworker documenting my journey in the craft, I do a hybrid of hand tool and power tool work. I also enjoy doing 3D printing and just working with my hands, I plan to bring some of my other interest onto this channel!
I tend not to upload much, but I try to from time to time. I use adobe rush to edit my videos, and a GoPro 8 or iPhone SE to record

Using as a jointer? If so, how is that working?
It’s technically a fore plane, though any plane can work as a jointer, and it’s taking a shaving therefore it’s working. You can use a no. 4 as a jointer, your piece of wood just needs to be shorter

Im a litt le confused. I have a 124 that needs a new handel. Is the wedge built into the head? I noticed you cut the slot for a wedge but didnt see you add one. And on my brokin head i can see the tip of a wedge.
The one I made a handle for and two cast bumps to act as a wedge, so I didn’t need to add a wooden one. I don’t know if yours would be the same. Mine the very top of it was flooded with epoxy which made it look like it had a wedge

Thanks for the gift idea! Also, where did you get the ripper end? Looks like you could use a spokeshave (it would save you a tonne of rasping and sanding, just saying.
No problem! Made them from mom as a Christmas gift, then she wanted another one. It’s a dritz seam ripper I got it locally, but I think they have them online. then just ripped the plastic handle off. I likely could’ve, my spokeshaves are dull at the moment 😅
