I never get scam emails or letters.

In the world we live in now you can do a thousand of these videos about victims and the number of scams will continue to increase as more and more people find themselves in a depressed state. Today's world is a predator's paradise. Easy access + lonely desperate people = money gone. Not a pretty picture.

Lonely people with unresolved self-pity makes them into unwitting targets for predators. This woman should have joined a dance club instead and danced away her demons. Even if she got the money it would not remove her sense of victimhood. Most of the victims I've seen look like they have a self-worth issue.

The scammers take over sights on RUclips and ask for money for an orphanage in Nigeria. So we know who they are and report them.

If Gmail can sort out junk mail & send it to Spam, so that you never see it, (unless you click on spam), why can't the PO computers identify junk mail & return it all to the sender? That would save a lot of unnecessary work or the PO, & unnecessary grief for the recipients!

Spare a thought for the PO which has to sort & deliver all this junk! If you've ever worked as a Postman / woman, you'll know what I mean.

Was it Publishers Clearinghouse that used to do this in the US? People would buy tons of magazines.

I used to receive calls telling me that I have won thousands of dollars and that I have to send a token sum of money so that the thousands of dollars could be released. I told the scammer that he can get the money from the thousands of dollars that I have won. That was the end that I heard from the scammers.

During the late 2000s, I was going through a difficult time financially, and, totally out of the blue, I received a letter saying that I had won a seven figure sum. I was rather sceptical at first, but having spotted that I had to send a fee of £10, I took a chance and sent the payment, but went on the motto of, "One strike and you're out". So if the worst happened and I didn't win a prize, I would know to stop and call it quits. Luckily, I came across the Matt Allwright program, You've Been Scammed, and so my hunch was confirmed. However, I did receive a large number of these scam letters, but I decided to turn the tables by filling in my credit card details, but don't worry, I came up with a series of false numbers by going through my old rugby league match programmes, and using rugby league Cup final results to make up a series of creative credit card numbers. I also didn't put a stamp on the envelope, or I had a large number of 2p stamps, and I would stick a 2p stamp on the envelope, so that the parasites would have to pay the postage. This carried on for a couple of months, until I received so much bullshit mail that I just chucked it into my recycling bin

I got a cheque through the door of the amount £120,00 but the letter said I won £1200, so I cashed the cheque and it bounced, I called the number on the letter and acted like I just got the cheque, they said "we made a mistake and we will have to cancel that chequeright now" I cut the person off by saying I have already tried to cash it and it bounced, they then said they knew about the mistake and cancelled it on the spot, thankfully I saw through that scam but I almost believed them,

Write them back And say Ok I won! take out the fees due and send me the rest! Never hear from them again

When scammers try to call I play a recorded message that says "Fraud Operations Please Hold......"

My mom fell for the mysterious inheritance from a millionaire scam until she died. Never got a penny. Lost her car and property to it. Died believing it was true. Funny thing, my dad also fell for the Nigerian love scam, he only lost about 2 k until he told me about it and I convinced him that it was a scam (he didn't believe me but luckily the person was a man pretending to be a woman and he finally believed it was a scam when he/she absolutely refused to have a video chat)

its honestly really hard for me to feel bad for these people. I've been homeless on the streets sleeping in the snow while pregnant and these people just throw around 100k like its nothing bc theyre greedy. especially when they get defensive when called out. they actually get angry and mean bc they WANT to keep spending.

Before it's too late ? I think blowing 100 G is a sign it was already too late...

You know who I feel sorry for the most her poor daughter who had to sit and watch this not only happen to her mother but the money and hardworking built over a lifetime by her mother and father. The daughter and the grandson tried to stop the bleeding but grandma just wouldn't listen. She knew but she was addicted. Now I'm guessing her daughter after all of that has to help cover the costs of this mess. While grandma gets to say well now I know better and the scammers made off with 140,000 dollars which should have kept grandma comfortable and daughter would have inherited. Now all of that generational wealth is gone to people who think people from non 3rd world countries owe them reparations and I don't bring that up to sound smug they truly believe this and have made music videos about it in Jamaica look it up.

Look at all these scammed women , are they attractive? They have no self respect, thinking money can buy love?

stuff them all in one of their own postage paid envelopes write on front theres a payment in it and mail it all back lol at their expense

I am so grateful for my experience today. No one is too smart to fall victim to the vast array of internet fraudsters. I was involved with someone from facebook for almost a year before trouble hit. he took away more than money from me, it took my life as i knew it but there was a slight twist to my story. Please do not get involved with anyone you've never met, there are people out there that are pure evil and will suck the life out of you. being scammed is devastating and can affect your career and your relationship with family and friends but do not lose hope yet because help is out there. if you have been scammed, gather all the evidence and information involved and seek assistance with (David.kirtland.cfe@protonmail.com) certified government officials that offers a list of investigation and restitution services for free that will assist you during this difficult time. it was helpful in my case, reporting the scam helps them take one step towards arresting the scammers.

The police behaved in a most irresponsible fashion . They should have kept Sutton under surveillance or in jail on the grounds of being a flight risk .

It's similar to a drug addiction. After her trauma, she became addicted to the thrill of winning the lottery.

I was Scammed a few times here in the United States. My Doctor said I would eventually need a motorized wheel chair .I saw one on line it folded up and I felt I could afford. Paid by Visa it never arrived .It is the same with the electric bycycles so be warned.

I'm in my 30s now, but when I was a teen, my granny used to come over everyday after school to beg me to read the letter to her and write a note telling the scammers that she didn't have the money right now, and she would send money behind our backs constantly & we would tell her it's not real , but she just wouldn't listen. I think after she moved they didn't know her address, so the letters stopped and do did her obsession with it

I love talking to scammers. I keep them going as long as possible. Until they curse me out.

That was the best part of it, the December 2q1 2012 scam. It was huge!!!

June is an absolute idiot. She deserved everything that happened to her, spending £80 a day on “POSTBOX LOTTERY” hahaha, you old twat.... that money could have went to a good cause.
