@bananagod3071 She could've sung that song better than that... she was obviously very shy and anxious, NOT her best IMO. She just didn't sing it like she meant it!!!
This gr8 guitar style along w/Fiona's super sweet vocals are to me - kinda reminiscent of the legendary duo of Les Paul & Mary Ford!!! Music my father introduced me to!!! Not a surprise to fans like us, as we know (oh so well) Fiona can (@ anytime) bring out that "old soul" style that is timeless!!! Man, I love her dearly!!! ;-)
i love this song but it somehow never fit with her overall ¨troubled, dark¨ profile as an artist . i really dont like this tortured vocals version . i prefer the soft , ethereal official video version. I do believe though that Apple is a great artist
My favorite live version of it is Electric Ballroom... soft vocals with a slightly sinister instrumental. While I love her live improvisations, I agree the aggressive approach is ill-suited for this song. But watch me recant that last statement when she suddenly surprises us with this song again and makes it work.
Great talent but she looks unwell it looks like she picks at her food, something is definitely wrong it would be terrible if i heard one day from the media that she was found dead i only hope she sorts her self out.
It would be freakin fierce if she done an episode of " Storytellers " I for one would enjoy hearing Fiona talk about the stories behind her songs ... or maybe a 2.0 version of unplugged ...
does else anyone think the man shouting " Fiona, please forgive me! Iv''e been a fool. I love you." was somehow part of the performance? He sounded amplified, an it's as if the heckler took the role of the subject/ object of her lyrics, who had come to his senses; realized Fiona who was waiting in the background was the one he truly loved. Please post your opinions. And THANKS to Maria for uploading this! Thanks to Fiona above all..
THANK YOU for uploading this! I was there. Fiona Apple had put everyone in an amazing trance with that song. Then that horrible guy had to go and ruin everything @ the end!
She had enormous t***y balls to perform this here in DC but let me tell you... She did NOT bring it!!! 😢
What do you mean?

What an awesome musician is Blake Mills! And well, Fiona is simply the best.

Love this performance. Guitarist kills it! Fiona does too. Her range is amazing
That guitarist is pure class.

she's in her mid 40s, her voice has evolved, she's not always going to sound 18
My god...her voice sounds like a grandma...what happened to her O_O Did she yell to much in her past?
+Manuel Kazan That song was recorded 20 years ago when she was 18. Yes, her voice has gotten rougher and deeper with time and imo better.
Lol, didn't know she sang this song recently.
God, I love this woman...
So do I, my friend, so do I.
I love this

Are the seats still there during the concert, in the GA; or are they removed?
she looks so beautiful here.... amazing woman
