Yeah I bet they’re great live. I’ll check out that second album. I’ve seen Slowdive live twice - they’ve played in Sydney a couple of times over the last few years - they do such beautiful layering

@@gravitationalpull5411 Difícil distinguir os dois em tão pouco tempo e com canções ótimas e com pesos quase similares na guitarra. Sinto muito falta desse som pós punk, ficamos carentes de bons sons na atualidade. Não curto sons como Slipknot e demais, acho que falta alma, melodia, é muito o mesmo. Uma de minhas bandas favoritas desta época é o New Model Army que me fez ser um apaixonado pelo baixo. O Sisters, Mission e The Cure nem precisamos dizer o quanto o baixo é presente e destacado.

@@gravitationalpull5411 Not easy to pull off. Harder than what most people think. Sometimes, it can just be innate. More than the chords, half the battle is finding the right balance of effects without sounding oversaturated. Used to spend hours on it back in the day.

@@indierockguitar6875 so true and spot on 👌 Sometimes it’s nice just putting together a few chords and playing over the top of them - leave it a little bit more spontaneous. As often I do agonise over recordings at how much I should do etc.

used a mixture of TC electronic (I think the flashback *4) and boss guitar effects. My recording setup is pretty straightforward to this day- I don’t use any software. I have a zoom R16- it can be used with DAW. But I tend to just plug-in and hit record. Hope that helps.

Not sure if you were ever into James or Ocean Blue but they will be coming around in the upcoming months so will probabaly get more motivated to write more songs. BTW- was watching the Dodger game and one fo the announcers just used the term gravitational pull just as I was writing this comment. That is an amazing coincidence. @@gravitationalpull5411 Not everyday, you hear gravitational pull so its kinda crazy coincidence that a baseball annoncer would spontaneously use that term. Yes, I live in the states, and the Ocean Blue is my favorite second American Band next to REM. They are often mistaken as a British Band. When you have time, give them a try as it is very similar to the music we like. I have a lot of other competing hobbies as well so try to fit in music when I can. I spend a lot of time restoring or modifying my car so can understand the time in renovating a house.
