Molding short natural hair with Lotta Body Foaming Mousse (Type 4 hair)
I'm going to try molding my short natural hair with the Lotta Body Foaming Mousse. I gave myself a bad haircut and since it's shorter than usual I figured this is the perfect time to experiment with molding my natural hair. This is a style that's usually done on people with relaxed hair pixie cuts.

Blue Magic curl activator review on short natural hair

The Blue Magic curl activator gel says it'll keep curls fresh longer, moisturize hair and that it won't be greasy or sticky. We'll see! In this video, I'll be trying it on my type 4, short natural hair for the first time. I've found curl activator gel work really well for defining curls and making them pop, but because I have type 4 hair it isn't strong enough to hold all day. I will be using t...
EBIN Curl and Twist Curl Mousse review on short natural hair

This is an EBIN Curl and Twist Curl Mousse review on my short natural hair. I'll be using this mousse to see just how well it'll define curls and hold the style. I have type 4 hair and it can be hard to find products to do short natural hairstyles that'll moisturize AND have good hold that'll last all day. The EBIN Curl and Twist Curl Mousse says it'll provide intense hydration, condition hair ...

Thank you!
My boyfriends parents never taught him how to take care of himself properly so im trying to geach myself so i can help him. Thank you for this!
Aww, I hope this video helps!
@@vesma111 it has! We are picking up proper products on Friday and what we have done with what we already have has helped a lot truly thank you so much!!
You're welcome! Glad to hear that!
@vesma111 Hiiii, I'm the boyfriend. Thank you so much for this video. I never knew what to do with my hair, and now I absolutely love my hair. THANK YOU!!!!
It looks dry. We need cream and gel especially when our hair is this short. Mine is the same length as yours.
It was dry. I personally don't like creams cause they've left my hair dry too, but I think this cream curl activator gel I'm trying might work. What creams do you use?
You’re a good shopper. 😊 Let us know how these products work because I’m always looking for good scrubs and cleansers for hyperpigmentation (on my face). Currently using Ambi’s licorice root fade cream and it’s a slow go. Thank you!
Thank you and I will! I'm working on some review videos!
Have you tried a lite oil or a pink lotion spray ❤ I love how it curls
No, not with this. I did try oils with other mousse products though and it didn't help at all smh 😩
I would love to see you use these products on freshly washed hair. It's hard to tell what the results could be since you started with your hair already styled.
@@SweetieBJB I used these products on freshly washed hair in this video! ruclips.net/video/GFN_mlnCv2w/видео.htmlsi=JCNwOstdrsbQiXPP
Does it leave a cast or flakes?
Nope!
I use eco styling gel to define my curls. It's not bad it just leaves my hair feeling hard when it dries but I'm okay with it. I like that we can bring out our curls using gel. I wish I would have discovered that when my hair was longer.
I wish the same thing too sometimes cause I was always frustrated trying to style my hair when it was longer. I could never find the right products. I used to like eco styler too until it started flaking on me. Any kind I'd try it would flake smh. I'm glad we found something that works!
I love that your videos are so simple yet informative. Thanks for sharing, my hair is about the same length and type. I will be shopping for these items tomorrow and will give it a try🙏🏾
Thank you! Let me know how it turns out for you.
I really liked your simple cost friendly wash and go. The results are gorgeous. I also noticed you didn't use any oils or leave in. Do you use them?
@@SLB9634 Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! I usually don't use oils or leave-ins in my hair, but I recently bought the HnP Placenta Leave-In Hair Treatment to try and some jojoba oil. I only use the jojoba oil for deep conditioning (sometimes I will add when I cowash too) and as a body oil.
World of curls is a gift from god
It really is
Your hair, like your name, is beautiful 😊🩷✨️
Thank you so much! ✨️
I finally found the video I needed! The search is real. I'm going to order and try. Thanks!
I'm glad it helped!! Let me know how it goes for you!
Do yiou prefer this over the Worlds of Curls? What's your updated combo of products?
I want to say yes only because it's not sticky like Worlds of Curls can be, but I honestly believe Worlds of Curls gives better definition. I use both products, still not sure which of the two I'll get next cause I'm almost out of both. But I've also been testing out another curl activator gel too (video coming).
@@vesma111 Looking forward to the new video!
Woohoo amazing 😊
Thank you!
So beautiful you are I wish more women would embrace this naturalness. Weave is not The way.
Thank you
thanks.....
I have the man version of this style…..
Nice! Did you use the same products?
I love this! Thanks
I'm glad! Thanks for watching!
After using the gel, or any styler, how do you refresh (day 2 or 3)? Sorry if you’ve mentioned it in another video. Briogeo’s rice amino + quinoa gel is great too.
Noted! Might give that gel a try one day! Thanks. When I refresh I just wet my hair a little and add a little bit of product all over. I used to just use a pick for volume, but I like my curls to look fresh as juicy as possible. And since the products are so light it doesn't weigh my hair down at all. I'll be making a video or I corporating this into videos in the future!
Thanks for the tip. I’ve been refreshing the same way on day 3, typically washing every 5 days. Looking forward to your posts! 👍🏽
We have the same cut, but my hair is salt and pepper, and I noticed the same thing as you. My hair was dry the next day. I used a dime-sized amount of jojoba to loosen it up. I tried Miche’s foam and sleep with a silk scarf and noticed a difference. I like your channel 😉
Thank you!! Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try using jojoba cause I really want the foams to work!
Just a bit to moisten your fingers and massage with your fingertips on your scalp in a circular motion. 😊
Like your eyes ❤
Thank you!
Looks great on you! 👍
Thank you!!

Welcome! Thank you!!
That is NOT 4-C hair! This is getting RIDICULOUS! In order to get a clear understanding of what 4-C hair really is, you almost have to go back to Africa where the people have never undergone background mixture that loosed the coil, as is the case with most African American hair.
When and where did I say my hair is 4c??? Nowhere. I said I have TYPE 4 hair because I have different hair textures growing out of my head in the type 4 category. Type 4 hair is for the tightest curl pattern in general, which I have. The only thing ridiculous is your comment. This technique is for those who want to define their type 4 curls and that includes 4c.
@@vesma111 Really it shouldn't be a hair type. An "afro" is curly hair period. So it's just defining your hair's natural curl state which isn't bad at all.

Ok, I thought your hair was 4c. But your hair is naturally curly.
My hair is type 4. I have different patterns in different areas of my head 😩
your music choice is refreshing
I'm glad you think that! Thanks!
this whole video is a work of art.
Thank you.
Final question, I got one and only argon mask and wow, so soft. I was wondering how often it should be used? Thank you again for all of your guidance, it has really changed my type 4 hair for three better!
You're welcome! Glad I could help! I just the mask whenever I feel like it honestly. Ideally, I'd deep condition once a week or 2x a month, but I get lazy.
It’s easy to tell someone else to embrace their hair when you have good hair.
I have type 4 hair. When I went natural I did not think I had "good hair". I was always struggling trying to manage it. I was constantly doing blowouts, manipulating it and couldn't stand the shrinkage. I could never get my hair to be "good" and act right. I felt like it was impossible for me to define my curls when my hair was longer. Even when I first cut my hair I was struggling. I've been natural for 10+ years and I didn't find the right products until this year when I tried curl activator gel. I truly believe we all have good hair, we just need to find the right products to enhance it. It may seem like it's easy for me to say, but it took a long time for me to even get to this point to even say that. If you have type 4 hair I encourage you to try the curl activator gel and wetline combo to see how you like it.
@@vesma111 Thank you. I’m going to try this. I hope it turns out as pretty as yours did.
Let me know how it turns out and if you have any questions feel free to ask!
Not good or bad hair. We just all have different curl patterns.
Thank you. I’m bothered by people saying “bad” hair. It’s all good because that’s what God gave us and He doesn’t make anything bad.
I’m a new subbie thank you for a great video ❤️
@@mayleneclemonds410 thank you!!
My world of curls came today, it is such a ceystal clear gel. I used it with my favorite wetline xtreme and i gotta say this two together has been the combo I've been searching for for years. My hair is so shiny and soft, and it has definition and was so so so easy to do. Thank you again. ✨️🙌🏾✨️
Yesss!!! I'm glad it worked so well for you!
Thank you for this, this was real and looks so so good. Im definitely getting the world of curls
I think your hair looks great!
Thanks Mary!

GIRL!! I just promised myself I was going to grow my hair out you’re so cute you make me want to cut it!

I’m so scared to cut my hair and not like it 😫 . This style suits you , so pretty

I love the definition.
Same, just didn't like how my hair felt!
Your coils look so healthy moisturized! I also enjoyed that V05 shampoo. Super affordable and gets the job done
Thank you so much, Courtney!
Do you like the blue magic curl activator more than world of curls? And if so what do you like better about it? Smell, feel, moisture, etc. Im still loving my results literally every day!
@@foxshear I like them both equally, but for different reasons. I really think Worlds of Curls gives better definition, but it can get a little sticky sometimes if I use too much. With Blue Magic, I love that I can use as much as I want and it won't ever leave a sticky feeling.
i stumbled across your video after i cut my hair, saw your hair looked kind of similar to mine and ordered the products from amazon. applied them today and i absolutely love them! my hair is so soft and shiny and the curls are definitely defined. thank you so much ♥️
I'm happy to hear that! Glad I could help!
