When indulged like this, a "phobia" may become part of a child's developing identity - and those fears can expand to include all sorts of "quirks" that must then be "accommodated for." Not surprisingly, a timid child w. many fears, can grow into a neurotic adult, where everything has to be "just so" or they struggle to cope. Glad that Daisy found her forever home in the end, and I hope this family's able to get the help they need for their daughters.

I still miss my Kobe that’s been gone for about 6 years. I adopted him at a pet store from a local shelter event. We were there at the end and he was only one of 3 dogs left. I fell in love with him at first sight. I was in my early 40s and very active. I taught him to catch a frisbee, jump through hoops and anything else I could think of. RUclips wasn’t a thing back then. He lived a healthy life of 15 years with me. I still miss him.

nobody talks about how the economic crisis effects animals. In the UK, what is going, & what is happening to all the animals being abandoned which people cannot afford to keep now ?? My parents, (and my), first dog was Skipper, our massive Alsatian & he was gorgeous & gentle. Used to sit by my, and my brother’s pram & guard us 😢😢

Just think of all the P-mail Buddy's reading in the meeting pen. It's a wonder any of the dogs get around to noticing the people at all! If it took this dog 7 homes to meet this guy, though? It was 100% worth the wait. It's hard to imagine a better match than these two lads, knocking about in a van. Beautiful.

Closing our eyes on a walk doesn't actually tell us much about what a walk is like for a blind animal. Whenever we feel sorry for a blind dog? It's worth remembering - if your dog knew how poor your sense of smell is? She would grieve for you! A beautiful pairing - bless Marni's owners for getting her a seeing/sensing-eye dog.

So much like the (5 year kennel long termer) I have had for 18 months now. Space, patience, love and kindness. ❤ and understanding… behaviours can be amplified as she may become very protective of her new family and home.

Can confirm dialysis sux, even when kidneys are getting progressively worse and I knew it was going to happen all my life. Dialysis makes you really sick, like not able to do anything at all for hours after.. I was on it for 2 1/2 years. I've had my kidney for exactly 3 years now. Immediately I felt better, so I hope his future gets better and better.

First puppy kiss and I would be out the door on the way to buy him everything!

Some people are so stupid and thoughtless. The person that bred that Collie, then sold it to an inexperienced person. My god... poor dog. She needs to be on a farm, working, and doing what Border Collies are bred to do - look after livestock!!!

My lips smiled hearing that she went to a loving forever home 😁. It has been a long wait. You go girl and have the best life a doggy can have, because you definitely deserve it. ❤❤

I feel kind of glad that Doug's owners changed his name! It obviously felt right for them - he doesn't mind at all - and the new name is a signpost for his forever home.

My niece has a border collies and 2 aussie shepherds. She has them doing all kinds of "dog sports" and agility training.
