CAT TOT has nothing to do with FT8. It is a Time-Out Timer (TOT) for CAT commands from WSJT-X software. FT8 interactions switch the radio TX/RX back and forth every few seconds and the TOT aspect ensures that a command issued by WSJT-X completes on time (Which it does most of the time) by the Transceiver. So lets say on average every CAT command is complete in about ~5-12ms, you have more room to wait at 1000ms or stick with 100ms which seems the most reasonable time for the electronics to respond back and forth.

Can I adjust this antenna for a length of 250 inches?? This would allow me to use it in the 12 meter range which is my primary interest. Thanks for your reply!

You surely have the answer by now, two years later but if memory serves, the manual actually says "on the longer standoff", not longer "tuning tube". :-)

I watched your video with interest . I have v 3.1.7. I do exactly as you show, but it shows me as Lurking. It appears NCS must let a station in.

Hi Jim. You can see if a device is being seen by opening a terminal and running lspci and/or lsusb. What I would do is unplug the device, open the terminal, run ‘watch -d lspci’ then plug the device back in.

I had this antenna and could not get the counterpoise tuned right. The company was awesome help, but we couldn't figure out why it didn't work. sold it!

I have the same problem with a PK 232MBX, just thought about this, might email Winlink and ask them to see if they know.

You've probably given up on this a while ago. Reformat the SD card with a new image. If you have a USB to corded network dongle, you could plug in that way. I have a monitor on the HDMI port and a powered USB hub on mine. On the hub is a network dongle, keyboard, and mouse. It makes configuring much easier.

"It's always looking for ground" WRONG! Electricity seeks ALL PATHS BACK TO IT'S SOURCE. That will include ground when the system has a grounded reference point (Neutral, center point of a three phase wye, or one side of a single phase step down transformer (L1 or L2) is grounded.) My guess your problems on 40 are because the antenna is too close to your house or other structures. I had a similar problem with mine. When I relocated it more than 20 feet from our house 40 had a much lower vswr and my problems of RF in the shack causing my computer to crash went away. In the meantime the rf problems were helped with ferrite rings from Palomar. they worked much better than the ones from Amazon (of course).

I bought a new computer and it has windows 11 on it. I am running around and trying out all the ideas that everyone else has tried. yaesu 450d to Signalink and to the computer. they make this really hard for an old man.

You need to get the power company to look at the transformer and ALL connections and wires to your house. Do it before you lose your electronics. If several electricians have looked at it and none have told you to get the power company involved.....stop using them. They aren't good electricians.

Looks like nickel to quarter size, does real damage but not as much as softball size. Saw a car came in to our shop a few years back that had been where the hail was at least softball sized the way I know was from the roof of the car was beaten down so bad that the window pillars for the front and back windows were bent down as was the roof, hood and trunk lid . Almost looked like a gang of sledgehammers had attacked it.
