How to tie a simple Asher knot (executed from above). A strong and quickly untied knot
This knot (and its two variants) were proposed by Harry Asher and published in 1989. The knot is especially good for execution on silk synthetic ropes. This knot is very easy to untie.
It is very rarely talked about, but it deserves more attention, since its good knowledge will come in handy if you are faced with a slippery synthetic cord.

How to tie a connecting knot "Handshake". A great knot, but practically unknown
Просмотров 469 месяцев назад
This excellent knot is practically unknown, although it is one of the best knots. It is not only easy to untie, but also looks neat with the running ends located along their root parts. Harry Asher proposed this knot, it is believed, under the influence of Clifford Ashley's description in 1944 of a similar knot with a loop at the end of a double-folded cable.
How to Tie a Simple Sliding Knot Step by Step: Video Tutorial
Просмотров 839 месяцев назад
The sliding knot forms an adjustable loop or loop at the end or middle of the rope. You can wrap the loop around the support, and then tighten the knot by sliding it. This makes it easier to attach the fishing line to a crossbar or pole. There are various ways to tie this knot, but the sliding knot option shown in this video is very fast and simple. 📌Uses - As a starting point for knitting (cas...

Doesn't work well for me. Way too much pulling and adjusting to get the knot to tighten, and then it often still pulls apart.

I'm loving these (well most everything on your channel actually), but with the shoelace tutorials I kind of wish you would've used something other than white for the laces. Another color would've popped and people could really see the effect. Your Tutorials are great, and I hope you get a lot of views and subs!

And you'd be surprised, some people wouldn't even be able to do this. I tell people to do an overhand knot, and they look at me with eyes glazed over like I just spoke in hieroglyphics. No matter how simple you think a knot is, there will be some people who legit do not understand it.
