The '80s were obnoxious, tacky, no class, no taste, depressing at the end of the day, nothing new was happening and so it was just a thoughtless mish-mash of garbage, an era that just seemed to have no soul, the music was mediocre, the fashion was God-awful, and if you think of any memories from those years, they are just gross and embarrassing. 🤮

Dokken = Rock Legends. It'd be nice if in an imaginary world they could all be together again and play the classics. But that's life and it's all good.

I was 19 and in a band trying to make it in 86 and met some of the nastiest dudes and the hottest girls. Never met a slut. Met alot of girls who liked dressing for effect, took hours to get the outfit, makeup and hair perfect. And when they were done ,they were ready to party . Just like us. The ones that couldnt hang, took off early. Plenty of dudes include. LA in the late 80's was Wonderland and I genuinely feel bad for people that never got the 1st hand tour.

Back in 1987, my Brother from another Mother Bobby (May he rest in peace. God bless) and myself were going to move to West Hollywood, CA so I could join or form a band out there. I'm a Lead Singer, who had the look, big hair, and experience since I sang in choruses since I was 9 years old. Bobby and I were just 20 years old at the time and saved up quite a bit of money to go. Bobby was born with bad kidneys since birth and as they gotten worse, he told me he was sorry he couldn't go with me as his Drs. back here in Upstate NY knew him well and his condition. I understood completely. Even though he told me to still go, I couldn't go without my best friend and Brother. God works in mysterious ways, so I know it was a blessing we didn't go. Because Bobby and I had so much love and respect for all women and we would have never fit in with this so called "scene". I read Vicky Hamilton's book and how so many bands screwed her over by not paying her for all she did for them. It's awful how these idiots took advantage of young women and should be ashamed of themself. This video was sad, but I am glad to see they are happy now and doing well. No women should ever be disrespected.

Other than Van Halen, it sucked. That's why it was ended. Mostly because the clubs were stuck in pay for play. F LA. Cherry Pie is the worst song ever. Wasn't the singer embarassed for life over it, and is now dead? Bobbi Brown is one of the most obnoxious humans ever produced by LA. She was on a dating show and was a complete awhole. ACtually, GNR's first record was a legitimately great record (and no others). LA is lucky they had that, otherwise the scene would've been a complete joke. Women aren't dressing any less slutty today, so supposedly progress exists and it doesn't at the same time.

I’m 63 years old now and I still listen to a radio station named ‘Hard Rock Heaven - Los Angeles’ every single day via the free music app named ‘Simple Radio’. They play 80s metal/hair bands music almost exclusively with only a few rare exceptions. I was living in Marina del Rey, California back in the early 80s part of the time and then Seal Beach, California on into the 80s. There is simply no way to describe how much fun I had partying, dating, playing guitar, hanging out with people at clubs, surfing, skateboarding, driving my TransAm pretty fast on the freeways, going with friends to bonfires on Huntington Beach, etc. I would give anything to have my youth back and relive the 80s!!! For me the 70s and 80s were the best decades of my entire life! Fortunately, I never became an alcoholic or drug addict and ended up having a great career in product development engineering. I ended up getting married and settling down 21 years ago, but I must admit that I was one more wild and crazy dude in the 70s, 80s and part of the 90s. It is a miracle that I escaped it all unscathed.
