Yeah this rendition definitely has more of the 80s and early 90s look, mannerisms, feel, and appearance. They retooled it and helped flush it out more to become MMPR. Though I can tell the clunky and overly cheeesy bits were transfered over to VR Troopers to some detriment.

It's sad few fight scenes of this Wild Force two parter where removed to not surpass the duration of the two episodes, each. Erin Simms's father was my boss for 10+ years and I've heard from multiple close sources as to *exactly* why she didn't stay on the show. All I can say is that its a funny story and had nothing to do with money or anything "shady".

Erins version of Maya comes across as a very straightforward no nonsense, knowledgeable warrior. Cerina added a sense of child like wonder to Maya that I feel like was missing. It added a little something extra. Maya then became child like in nature while also knowledgeable which fitted the primitive planet that she lived on.. They were a peaceful quiet civilisation but still had their lore.. Their set of skills as a result of living in the world that they did. Erins would have fit if Maya had been no nonsense from the start.. Kind of like a Lost Galaxy version of Duleca

FINALLY, we get to see the guy who was the fake Jason voice in Season 2 round the time Austin St. John left the show along with Thuy Trang and Walter Jones. Fake Zack was voiced by Joel Rogers, who also played his cousin, Curtis. Now we just need to see the fake Trini voice, Judy (full name unknown).

Now that's a Ranger. He's absolutely oozing confidence and he looks so good in the suit too. I'm glad Cam is one of my favorite rangers of all time.
