    Sorry, but who gives a F#@& about what others think? Answer = simple minds. Stop living your life for others and stop caring what they think. This is like creating problems that don't actually exist and then making the resulting anxiety your entire personality 🙃 😂

      Who is “we”? You speaking for everyone? If you don’t care, and let other people enjoy their self expression, that’s a good thing. Just because you specifically don’t care about how a black woman wears her hair does not mean that these women have never encountered discrimination and ridicule and mockery from people based on their hair. I know I have.

    What are you talking about back in the Viking days white people wore braids

    • @beanburrito8321
      @beanburrito8321 День назад

      I’m sorry you have to hear this the hard way but I’m afraid logic is going to have to do the talking. Just because something has been happening historically for a long time doesn’t mean it’s going to be viewed the same throughout history. A few irl examples of this, Alcohol (it’s been used for millennia’s and yet it got banned during prohibition), Full Clothing and heavily layered garmets (was normal 100+ years ago despite hot temperatures in some places but now it’s only socially acceptable if it’s winter or cold). Now let’s talk about braids, in viking cultures braids were normal and we have a good bit of history on vikings so people hold them to an honorary status. The average black women in America on the other hand actually didn’t break free from all legal oppression until the voting act of 1965. With that in mind black women haven’t been respected for long enough nor have enough honorable history written about them to be allowed to wear braids and be seen as professional. It’s very sad but the average white employer isn’t going to view a poc’s braids the same way as he sees the viking’s braids in the drawing in his old history textbook. White people love to say “just love each other man” but it’s a little hard when every time a back women tries to apply for a job she gets denied bc her name sounded too black on the application (real study btw look it up- black people get much fewer call backs from jobs bc of name discrimination) or if her hair is gonna be “distracting in braids” but “unkept while natural”.
