I met Adam West later on that day at the convention in Rosemont. I altered an 8 inch Batman action figure to look like the 1966 version and wanted to take a picture with him holding it, but his manager shot me down with how much pictures and autographs were. Mr West saw that I'd also brought a copy of the DVD of the 66 movie and he asked to see the copy and he's signed the cover for free. Frank Gorshin (Riddler) attended the same convention and saw Mr. West's action and then asked me to bring him the DVD, he opened the case and signed the disk. I still have the disk as one of my most prized possessions. Thank you for your interpretation of Mr West that he appreciated, and also reminding me about that great day in 2004.

This is funny shit. But actually a good dollar store rakes in some serious money day-to-day. The only way this is possible is due to the China trade - even then it is mind boggling. Let's break it down. Something gets made in China, goes on a container ship for a cruise for thousands of miles, ends up in a distribution center in Virginia or Illinois (via truck or rail), ends up on a semi, ends up in a store in a box, a worker unloads that box, stocks the product, disposes of that box. Eventually a consumer picks up that item - decides if they want to buy it. Choose your own adventure! This is all happening for $1! The journey of a dollar store item is crazy. No, not all the items are from China. A lot of the food items of overstock from American companies. But still. It is amazing - these companies produce profits and growth for their shareholders with very thin margins. I am not saying YOU said this, Mike. But I am pissed when people talk about wanting American jobs and good paying jobs and this and that but they want "livable" wages. It's a cycle. Do the math people. If you truly care about American jobs, you are going to have to stop shopping at the dollar store and wally world (where H. Clinton used to be an exec) and you are not going to be able to buy all that crap for a dollar anymore. It is basic economics. Sorry to get all political on a funny video but actually it is the perfect platform.
