You realize that democrats never used the term defund the police and on the occasion they did it did not mean what you think. Rightwing media and troll farms has you thinking it was about taking away resources and it never was. It's about reallocating resources to ensure that police have continuing training, adequate mental health care, find ways to prevent the ptsd that almost every officer experiences. If a person is expected to function at a high level under high stress the require special resources and training . Those needs are not being met in police departments and we the citizens and the police are in danger because of that. Sadly Faux News and other groups seized the opportunity when early one the term defund was mistakenly used. Rightwing media did what it does best and convinced a vocal portion to again campaign against their owns best interest. creating more division creating worse situations and holding the lower middle class and poor of middle America in a pattern self defeating decision making.
