Bernard Herrmann will always be one of the best composers in film history. The score of Taxi Driver is my personal favorite of his, with Vertigo right behind it.

Somehow.... the 70's crackley audio quality (from the movie) makes it more like home to me..

I don't know, I like a slower intro. They went into those crescendos far too quickly and loudly for my liking. The original is not like that.

I have a book about the composers life at home,written by a Steven Smith and last year picked up a box( 7CD ,s) almost the whole whack on his various scores etc. but strange oh strange nothing from the movie,Taxi Driver.... One whole CD though with the score of the old black n white movie Obsession kind of makes up for the Lasse.. and the book written in the 90,s is a must...he was a genius and a complex guy.

Should look up blue devils drum and bugle corps year 2000. They did a rendition of this theme. This, however, is so beautiful.

Maravilloso tema Taxi Driver siempre me subyugó, desde el primer momento que lo escuché la maravillosa gama de sonidos hace una obra de arte, cada músico en lo suyo!!! Realmente es grandioso!!!
