Come and join us in our daily morning routine, let's feed the rabbits! Rabbit and hare meat are excellent sources of iron. Iron helps make healthy blood that flows through our bodies, giving us energy to be active and to grow strong. Healthy blood keeps us from getting tired. Rabbit and hare meat are excellent sources of the B vitamins B12 and niacin. enjoy ^^

    From Day 2 onwards, do we have to spray the plain water everyday? Once or twice a day? Second question.. after feeding the seedling into the foam alongwith water (after mixing the nutrients liquid), do we have to cover the box ??

    • @rasubackyardfarming6205

      No need to spray water but you can do that to reduce the temperature if it's too hot. No need to cover the box

    • @rasubackyardfarming6205
      @rasubackyardfarming6205 Год назад

      Thankyou. I tried before and it doesn't work well. An easier method is to grow the seedlings on the coco coir up until they are ready for transplant. They will have bigger roots and shall be easier to transplant. The introduction and maintenance of nutrient readings shall be the same process shown in the video up until they're ready for harvest. 3 days before harvest, we can also do "flushing", it is when we feed the lettuce with plain water without adding additional nutrients. This method will flush the nutrient solution in the plant's system which shock the plant and boost its growth, also minimizing the taste of bitternes in some bitter varieties.

    Lemon juice is much better to lower PH than your chemical one...cheaper and healthier for the plants

    • @rasubackyardfarming6205
      @rasubackyardfarming6205 Год назад

      Hi goose gatherer. Thankyou for your comment. Lemon juice can lower the pH level but not for a long period of time. It is made of water, citric acid, carboxylic acid and other acids in lower concentrations like malic acid. I tried it and have to do it every other day. It is not as stable as the one I use that could take weeks before another pH adjustment.

      Hi. We use nipple drinkers to give water to our rabbits. At around 0:38 on the top left corner of the video, though not clear enough but you can see the bottom part of the 5 gallon slim water container. At the moment, It take 3 days for our rabbits to empty the container.

    • @rasubackyardfarming6205

      Hi Téa! Thankyou for you comment. I have tried it once. I put the seed in the sponge's slit. But the seed had a hard time emerging as it grows. Maybe I placed it too deep or it dropped lower when I watered it. I think there won't be any problem if I used horticultural foam or rockwool since with those, there is designated slot for the seed.

    Thanks a lot. Best tutorial I have ever seen 👏. However I have a couple of questions. 1. If EC is not in the desired range what should be done (add more nutrients or water to take it up or down?) 2. How to minimize growth of algae ( would placing the sponge with seedlings in net cups and covering the top with clay pellets help with bottom watering in a tray or directly running it in my hydrophobic set up which will also provide better oxygenation?!). Thanks. Ramesh from India

    • @rasubackyardfarming6205
      @rasubackyardfarming6205 2 года назад

      Hi Ramesh I hope you're doing well. Thankyou and sorry for the late reply. With regards to your questions.. 1. If EC is less than the desired range, you can add more nutrients. If you accidentally put a lot of nutsol (nutrient solution), you may introduce additional water to dilute it. 2. Algae form when sunlight hit the water. If you can avoid or at least minimize it, then it would result to lesser agae build-up.
