Just goofin' around, creating beeps and boops on my grooveboxes.
I like to make music from scratch and in one take. I don't like spending too much time with mixing or mastering, so all you hear are tunes recorded in one take, perhaps after several attempts and tiny mistakes might be included in the mix ;-).
But hey, that makes it human. And random.

Doing it straight-live is crazy. How much did you do prep for that? Sound selection, sequences?
Usually when I do a live improvisation jam like this, the only thing I prepare are the sounds - so I don't have to dial in and tweak the sounds. But when I'm happy about the mix of sounds, the rest usually comes automatically 🙂. Also, the compression and drive on the EHX Platform always nicely fill the "blank spots". Thank you for your kind respons though! 👍

Quite pleasant, I likes... Never really considered anything FM before but there's some damn nice tones in there, just might have to reevaluate!
@@avhdb3 Yeah I really like FM. But especially with the Cycles and the Mega it's a "like it or hate it" sound. Especially a lot of video's of the Mega Synthesis are typical video game music, but I try not to do that and just do my own stuff.
What are you controlling with the external midi controller? Is it stuff that you don’t have access to on the SH-4D?
@@Salmonaxe223 for each part I can directly control the cutoff, resonance, the "mod wheel" (you'd be amazed how many patches are already pre-configured with mod-wheel sweetness) and an "empty" CC I can use in the mod matrix.
