it was a great day for the first annual car show. Everybody was saying how much they liked the venue. There were more cars than anyone expected. My camera was having problems. It turned itself back on with a message that it needed repair. I had to pull the battery to shut it off. when I downloaded it there were 196 random pictures on it. There was no music so I didn't have to mute anything exce...

this was the august swap meet. I bought a chrome spare tire cover and the Fender for the CJ5. Richard got a nice grill for the CJ5. Isaiah got a few die cast cars for his collection. We sold a few old car parts. We left with a few dollars profit until we had to stop for gas.

We went to the car show at the Parsonfield Seminary. The turnout wasn't as big as usual because there was a chance of rain. The light rain stopped when we got there at 8:00 and the sun was shining when we left. Richard won a third-place trophy with the Silver Streak.

I remember Muncie’s going for $125-150 in the early 80’s. The fall meet was always a blast!
68 cougar firewall I already took upper n lower cowl off most of tedious work has been done just car is stripped please lmk need rad support welded in n inner panels
I talked to Richard about it. He wants to take a look at it before making a commitment. Where are you located? If you give me a phone number, I'll call tomorrow. We can check it out Friday if it's not too far to drive.
Hey do u do any resto work??
We have a lot of ongoing restorations. What do you have and what needs to be done? I'll talk to Richard and see if it's something we want to do.
Great video! I felt like I was there... oh wait, I was! My Aussie tail lights were purchased in 2012. I paid $175 each but the only other place to buy them back then was Sweden for about double that. You gotta get yourself another Mustang from the 60's-70's. I can tell you miss that Orange one.
I got a 72 Mustang but it's got a lot of rust. I've restored a dozen or so Mustangs and I just can't get excited about doing another one so I'm selling it for $750 The orange one cost me $250 when I bought it. I restored it twice and it was time to do It again or sell It for a lot of money. I had to tear the engine down recently and replace a piston ring and I put in a new clutch and cam. I was tired of maintaining it. Cash is easier to maintain. Maybe I'll drive my VW beetle for a while.
Well I will have to help you out with the vw then hopefully you will get better soon dad everyone pray for my dad al he needs it
@@richardrobblee4000 So sorry to hear about Al, Richard. He always brings a smile to my when I watch his vids or chat with him at a car show. My prayers are with you all.
Good to see you at the show. It was great weather.
Good to see you too. It took a while to get this video uploaded. I had to take my computer in for service. Are you going to the show in Fryeburg on Saturday?
There is OOB and Darlings in Augusta for Mopar but Fryeburg looks the best to me. I plan to be there.
More funny sepos trying to start an engine.
Thanks Al love the swap meets hope you get your 1000 soon🎉
Why did you have to use V8 spindles ?
The 6 cylinder spindles were too small. They were made for 4 lug wheels and small brake drums. The disc brake kit wouldn't fit on the 6 cylinder spindles. The rotors didn't fit the small spindles and the calipers wouldn't bolt to them. They didn't make disc brakes for 6 cylinder cars.
@@alshotrodsandratrods8780 that’s odd , I have a 6 and I converted without swapping spindles. I was told 67 mustangs had the same spindles ad v8 and v6 , 67-69
@@tmacdagreattv There was a big difference between the 6 spindles and the ones we used. Did your 67 have 5 lug wheels? I thought they didn't use the same spindles till 69 when they all had 5 lug wheels and the bigger brake drums. Mustangs didn't have a V6 until 74 in the Mustang 2. I just pulled an inline 6 from a 72 Mustang.
aint the dots supposed to face forward?
I chickened out because of the rain and then went to New Balance the next day in pouring rain... doh! I see both you and Richard were twinsies with the blue Par Sem shirts.... It looked like a good show. Sorry I missed it. Way to go Richard! I know my trophy last year was neat. Keep recording!
Their trophies are unique. I never won there. I didn't realize the New Balance show was the next day. It's one of Richards favorites. I won there three years in a row with my 72 Monte Carlo. The competition was tough. There were custom Paint jobs, Custom interiors and over chromed engines. Mine was stock. I should have kept that car. The guy who bought it in New Jersey sends me pictures of all the trophies he won.
Any idea what primer and glue was used?
I don't know what the primer was. I showed the label on the glue. Any glass shop should know what primer to use. Or you can call Hayden at Fryeburg Glass Co.
Congratulations Richard 👏
Thanks for going to Founders Day. I've never been but now have a great idea of what it's about. Really glad you didn't leave your initials in the dust on that fender.... I know you wanted to! Looks like you all had a great time.

Good video Al
Thanks. I'm uploading another video now. It has an hour to go. It's about the rest of the fair. Sand drags, tractors, jugglers and wrestling.

How come this video has a commercial and your not getting anything from u tube yet
I guess they don't have to share profits till I get 1000 subs. Some of my older videos have ads.
Got a new member here. Good to see you out there working on that Mustang!
Gotta make a push guard for the mower and
Pull the coil wire Dad!!
I wanted to go but it was too wet. It takes forever to get the drops off the paint.... So Richard must have won a trophy, eh?
He won 3rd in the 40s class. Gary Allen won 1st with his 49 Plymouth and the Jeep won second. It was the only class with three entries. They didn't have a class for hot rods or he would have won first. All the trophies were the same size.
Shame this one won’t be back on the road but you gotta do what makes sense for you.
Please have Emma put her hair up when using a sander/grinder. It sucks when a chunk of your scalp pops out...
Sure wouldn’t want these guys working on my car.
With all that rust. Would water not had traveled down the A piller and rusted out the cowl or compromised its strength?
That's possible. We're taking out the carpets and kick panels today to see how bad it is. Then we can decide if it's a parts car or a restoration project. I'm leaning towards parts car. Either way I don't have time to restore it. I have too many projects already started. I have someone who wants the engine and trans. If I can sell the front clip I'll start deconstruction
Junkyards are looking for that ford slow 🐌 stang.
I'll admit that I'm not impressed with it either. When I went to the cruise night and parked with all those beautiful hot rods and antique cars I felt like I didn't belong' But a group of young guys came over and thought it was the coolest car there. (Even though there was still steam coming from the overflow tank,) They watch too many Fast and Furious movies and their opinions are based on the cars they see in the movies. I hope there's a lot of them around when I try to sell it. Guys like me that like older cars are dying off. Muscle cars from the 60s are increasing in value while 32 and 34 Fords are decreasing, What's your favorite cars Dave?
@@alshotrodsandratrods8780if he black it prollly a hellcat, if he just hatin on mustangs it’s probably a hellcat
Parts car.
how about sut it at the vinyl top moulding line ?
That would take a lot of welding in a place that would take a lot of work to look straight. The best place to cut is at the bottom of the windshield posts below the chrome drip rails and from the bottom of the quarter windows back to the back of the sail panels then across to the corners of the trunk lid. replace the whole top not just a portion.
@@alshotrodsandratrods8780 --- you know WAY better than I for sure
nice old mustang, I would have bought it as well.. I came across a video of a guy making a coupe into a fast back. Not that you want to do it but It was pretty interesting. Good luck with the mustang.. ruclips.net/video/Ls2qvPmSW-w/видео.html
Wow! Looks like your hands will be full with this one. I'm looking forward to seeing Richard and Isaah do your bidding... ;-)
After pulling up the carpets to see what's underneath it looks like this will cost more than it will be worth finished. I might just part it out. I'm not buying any more cars. This was a mistake. If anyone wants to save me from myself and take over this project, make an offer. I found a good used top for $500. Richard and Isaia thought changing the top would be a fun project. The floors and trunk not so much.
Good to see the grandson pitching in. Even if it's because it's his car ;-)
Took me an hour to get your mustang on the trailer with the same setup that winch didn't work out
Strong work Al
Depending where you located. I might be interested in those other front fenders for the 1940 ford
I'm located in Fryeburg Maine, Just a couple of miles east of the New Hampshire border. I have one very good driver side fender and 4 or 5 passenger side fenders. None of them are very good and would need patching from the other fenders.
@@alshotrodsandratrods8780 just looked it up. That's over 18 hours away. Mines going be a rat rod so they didn't need to be perfect. But need to be closer. Look forward to watching your builds anyways though

C ool stuff! Thank you!
I'm currently building a 1940 Ford. Without having a set of fenders yet. And was wondering if you knew the measurements from firewall to center of front wheel? That way if I find some fenders I can put them on and it look right
I'm looking for tailgate hinges for a 1958 Ford Country Squire wagon..Can you help ?
I don't know of any 57 or 58 Ford wagons in my area. If anyone reading the comments knows of one let Karl know. I'm looking for a 57 or 58 Plymouth wagon. I have a Hemi powered Dodge wagon and would like to build a "Christine" for the whole family. Anybody have a lead on one?
@@alshotrodsandratrods8780 Thanks for the assistance. I'll keep an eye out for the Plymouth wagon your looking for.I live in Mass. and I'm going to try to get to the next swap meet at Epping.I'll stop by your booth and introduce myself.
Did you sell the Mustang doors and other parts? A guy was at my shop looking for those parts.
I still have the doors. They are off a convertible so the glass only fits a convertible.
90% of this junk will go back home with the original owner
The 10% we sold brought in a pocket full of money. We'll be back the last Sunday of this month to turn junk into cash. Most of the vendors made enough money to be back on May 26 to do it again. If you saw something you wanted it will probably be there next time. One man's junk is another man's treasure.
99%
You just saw some good parts for cheap now maybe you can pass on the deal and get your money back.
Yahoo! Time to uncover and dig out the cars and trucks from their Winter sleep. Great to see your videos again. Maybe its me but I almost wonder if you would be better to put the hood on the orange truck back to original... seems like you struggle with the hood every time you use it. Either way, looking forward to seeing the truck at shows this year.
Now that the Mustang's gone I have to get serious about finishing the truck. The black 99 Mustang is good enough for cruise nights but it's not car show quality. If Richard gets his 48 Merc painted I might drive his48 Pontiac till the truck's done.
