Bolet plays Liszt Transcendental Etude No. 12
Liszt's Transcendental Etude No. 12 - Chasse-Neige Jorge Bolet A masterful performance of one of Liszt's most poetic compositions featuring Bolet's hallmark translucent tone and finesse. My only qualm is at the end, where he and Cziffra both inexplicably play forte.
Rubinstein plays Schumann Novellette

Schumann's Novellette Op. 21, No. 5 Arthur Rubinstein, 1963 A cheeky salon piece radiating cheerfulness and humor.
Lugansky plays Schumann Toccata in C Major
Schumann's Toccata in C Major, Op. 7 Nicholai Lugansky, 2004 One of the most articulate performances of the famed toccata, free of bombast while boasting the sensitivity to inner voices and sheer virtuosity only a few pianists can claim. Recordings of the symphonic etudes and sonata to follow.

Rubinstein plays Chopin Fantasia on Polish Airs - 1st Mov.
Davvero insuperabile. Mai sentita un'esecuzione così perfetta.

A simply beautiful pianist
What he can do without any pedaling is breathtaking.
What a masterful performance❤
I think he was the best performer among the performers who played this piece.
😍😍😍😍😍
Liszt is always phenomenal. 🎉❤❤❤
So beautiful I could cry.
Carmen Reyes. Muchas gracias.
A tribute to Franz Liszt also - there are moments of 'transcendental' magnitude. So we have Wagner and Liszt, two mystical giants ever constructing their mythical castles.
I can't believe my ears !!! ❤❤❤
Only Pletnev can match him.
I heard him play this live many years ago. Always enjoyed his playing.
Best interpretation ever based on Horowitz own life experience. Nothing else to say....
İKLİMLER KOZMİK TANRILARLA DEĞİŞİR BEBEMMMM.!!!
HANGİ MEVSİME UYANALIM BİRTANESİİİİİ.???
Anyone wave goodbye back to Horowitz at the end?
I think this is great. Difference for me is how percussive the piano is. A lot of the "percussion" comes from the recording technology of the day, but the talent of the artist is plain to hear, as it were. ,
What a surprise! He takes this Scherzi at a somewhat slower tempi and it works so well. Super clean legato as you can hear every note. I just love this.
Scherzi is plural. Scherzo is singular!
Awesome
Chopin was a grand master and composer for the piano. Horowitz simply brings out the awesome proficiency control , dexterity, power and stupendous abilities of Chopin. pianist and composer Wonderful.
"Simply????????????????????????????????????????????????"
Oh yes I understand. you cannot understand the interpretations and nuances of the pianists. For you, music is just the notes?
Horowitz has the best piani.
If Horowitz would play only this piece in his life he would be IMMORTAL
One of the best! This is so inspiring!
If I want to hear Schumann, then I listen Horowitz.
Désolé mais il se plante à 4:55... 🤷

❤❤❤
Vladimir Horowitz playing this piece - looms triumphantly - alone.
Absolutely amazing. True , brillant and personal
Absolutely amazing
Alas, he eats up rests in the beginning. A pet peeve of mine . . . Otherwise, gorgeous phrasing and sound . . .
Did he have a certain varnish on his piano like on the inside? Does anyone know this?
This astonishing piece is brought to life by three immense talents: Wagner, Liszt and Horowitz. The result is as expected...
Maestro, il Suo pianoforte è un'orchestra!!! Lei è un Re!!! Un grande, grandissimo Re... Rest in pace Vladimir Horowitz. Giuseppe Perego Monza 16.2.1962
Do you know the year of recording ?
1950
Help! This was TERRIBLE! Absolutely no understanding of music whatsoever... Sounds like a robot playing!
0:39 best part
His last swan song?
wonderful
You can play it again.
Liszt is the definition of: You come for the fast virtuoso runs, but you stay for the slow melodies
Absolutely beautiful
Recently, I had the treat to hear this piece first in a live piano performance. No better way to be introduced to something new. I was not aware of this gem in the piano repertoire, after many years of playing and listening to others. It so captures the essence of Wagner's orchestration and you don't have to sit through one of Wagner's incredibly long operas to enjoy it.
