Chris Staplelton does the best version of this song by far, and that's saying a lot, since I loved the original version very much. What a great voice he has, and it's a pleasure seeing his wife sing along with him. Of course, Dwight is always good. I've loved that guy since he was a young punk. Saw him twice when he performed at the University of Minnesota auditorium - best shows I ever saw, and I've seen so many over the years. A great performer, Dwight, and cute too.
Do yourself a favor and lookup Sierra Ferrels live rendition of this song. It's really really amazing 👏

I've heard a few Chris Stapleton songs and I like them, but I haven't dove in yet. The fact that he plays a jazz master and he performed with Dwight Yoakam are the things that are making me want to.

Yeah, and the Mona Lisa was just paint slung on a canvas. He may not be your "cup of tea", but his voice is undeniably amazing. No other artist I know could pull off a Ray Charles classic, a tribute to Aretha Franklin, James Brown and Prince and do it phenomenally like he has done! Adding Dwight Yoakum to this duet was genius! Like Chris, he arrived by way of his own path, and they did a fantastic job! Who else in the biz could do a Ray Charles/Willie Nelson tribute and do this good? I'll be over here waiting.... Just all in fun but I can't criticize them!
