If you get a non Red Sport 3.0t, you’re absolutely playing with fire. My local dealer has had dozens of catastrophic Q50 3.0 engine failures. The motor runs hot and doesn’t have a sufficient oil supply, causing the far cylinders to essentially blow up. With alarming regularity. The motor replacement only runs $30k, so buy one of these if you hate money. The Red Sport 3.0t motor has a heat exchanger and a larger oil sump/supply, so the solution is available. Stay FAR away from this rolling disaster.

I had one. It was poorly engineered trash that ate its motor at 70k miles. I’ll never buy another Nissan product ever again.

Legit this car is a cheap tuned car second hand. I got a low miles and one year old one for about 28K OTD before the pandemic. With FBO and tune, you can get it to at least 450whp and over 500wtq. People are sleeping on this car.

do you have a ktuner and rv6 downpipe? you'll really hear it if you have that as well i'm guessing you don't since it bounced off the redline instead of 7k. ktuner also sets the crossover about 400 rpms earlier

I have the 2014 3.7L AWD Premium. Bought it new 10 years ago. I recently considered getting the 2024 IS350 and Audi A5 Sportsback. But I decided to keep the Q50 for a few more years. It still looks unique and nice in 2024. I upgraded the 17" stock wheels to 19" Niche 245/40/19s.

Skip the q50 for us old gen we already know why I hope, new gens have fun that’s it 😂😂😂

I had a 2017 Q50 3.0t awd twin turbo and originally I loved the car...drives good sounds great with a bigger exhaust and was pretty quick....My engine blew at 57k miles....Carfax shows not one oil change was ever late....I kept the car serviced at Infinity....I'm 40yo I was good to this car....I am very meticulous on maintenance Problem is that engine is plagued with porous block because of a factory defect....The turbos not cheap are notoriously unreliable The 3.7 model has a different transmission that is know for being junk.... I loved that car but financially it was a mistake!!

Bro these cars are slept on and have amazing reliability and are fast as fk stock . The top end on these v6’s are crazy and it’s AWD never got stuck in snow tf … I have a g37x stock only thing I wana do is upgrade to the newer q50 transmission… great cars that last, by all means keep sleeping on them lol 😂 I love Infiniti

It doesn’t compete with the Mercedes CLA-Class. It competes with the Mercedes C-Class (from 2014 😂) and BMW 3-Series and Audi A4 from a decade ago. You don’t know anything about cars if you think the CLA-Class is a step above. The Infiniti Q50 is hated because it is outdated. It is still using the same old FM platform from 2002. It was a dated car when it was new in 2013. There are much better choices now in the premium sports sedan segment. Infiniti has never been the same since they started naming everything Q and QX.
