At 1:55 you suggest 11...Rc8. Doesn't that drop the exchange to the standard trick 12.Nxc6 bxc6 13.Ba6 Ra8 14.Bb7?
You didn't mention Nd5 miss after Rb8
currently doing training of 2000-2200 and watching videos like this during free time preparing for 2200-2300 training. one thing that concerns me is Max talks quite a bit about openings but im use to many echoing how one should'nt focus on openings until like 2400 (GM lars Bo Hansen said this high in one of his books but most do say anywhere between 2000-2400.
Match with Esserman when?
I wish your audio was better. ❤
im a morra player and have got the book and some engine lines and honestly this is the only line ive ever seen (i laready knew it before) that is actually good and tries to get advantage for black. Good job, thankfully no one knows it tho
Do you offer 1-on-1 coaching? What's your rate? I would like a session to learn the openings you played in these games. Thank you.
Hello sir.. today I was your opponent randomly.. my name was Jehanop. Can you teach me so that I can became a better player
Many players say Jobava London is not good because of the misplaced knight on c3. What is your say on it
2510 Lucienne Passage
Max, you did great, thank you!
Black dismisses the Center Game with 3. ...Nc6. I think ...Nc6 is a fine move for black, but the game is far from decided. Maybe a bit more discussion on the Center Game?
Could u sometime do explanation of CT art 4.0 app please. Also how to use it for training.
Knight e5?
Yay
I’m rated about 1100 and I get 70-80% accuracy but my opponents are somehow better. I have a different account thats rated 1500 and it’s easier to play against the 1500s for me. Is there any reason for this?
I've always found that playing lesser talented or equivalent in talent makes them better, but I've remained in stagnation. Whereas if I play better people, I tend to do better, middle game always breaking point. Idk, not that I've any scientific or strategic reason for this occurrence. I just noticed it over decades of casual but competing chess informally.
There’s a big reason people are afraid to admit: cheaters. A large amount of players are around 1100 and idk y but there’s some psychological tendency to maybe keep their rating at a certain point? Not saying all ur games are cheaters but I’d be willing to bet quite a bit were, since many people have said the same thing as you. It also is statistically a huge outlier for 1100s to be playing above 70-80% accuracy every game, regardless of them playing simple positions or not.
You don’t know the stonewall move order.
Nice strategy, Max! Sound could improve, though :)
That's a great line😂😂
Absolutely amazing walkthrough! =)
Robinson Jeffrey Hall Paul Thompson Joseph
Today I randomly got matched with you in the bullet match lol was surprised and happy to play with you 🤯
Manuela Dale
What’s the name you used for the poisoned pawn attack?
Brilliant attack by white. This can also come from Phillidor defence as well I think. Thanks for uploading the video
Thanks so much. I'm in a major tournament right now (u1900 fide) and I'm on 3/3 playing against a c4 player. I've prepped c4 e6 Nc3 d5 d4 Bb4 against him. I really hope to win!
Video spends 95% of its runtime getting to essentially the starting position against the Stonewall and any actual plans against it are offhandedly mentioned in the last 20 seconds.
It's my honor fighting you great sir
I started with d4 ... and get only tactical positions when facing the Dutch. I started with the London system. I found out, that I kind of suck in tactical chess. So I transitioned to e4. That way I was forced to play tactical XD. It is also more fun.
Playing with system in reality will be different . Oponent queen never allow our hope chess like this
it is interesting that youtube says the content was AI generated as a result of the thumbnails being AI generated.
You have another video with the Nimzowitsch variation in the English four knights. I find that variation very interesting too.
I think i definitly fit into the category of working hard but not smart. I grind chess games endlessly but tend to feel like im slamming my gead against a wall trying to rise above a 52% win percentage
One of the main lines against 7...h5 is 8. a4, delaying Qd2 in order to get the LSB to the more aggressive c4 square and often developing her to e2 instead. Not including this variation is a mistake imho as this is probably the variation where it is easiest for black to get into a mess. Greg Shahade has a number of quick victories in this line and would be a good point of reference for any viewers looking for an easy plan to keep a high amount of pressure on the black player.
I would like some training in the open games - 2 Knights Defence, Italian and Evans Gambit.
Hi, from the Gold Coast. Raining here.
My favourite king's gambit is the muzio. Thx for the vid!

I have only just found out about this channel, so I obviously missed the workshop. Where can I find a recording of it, please?
AI thumbnails wont get you anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Might be smart on the board but this is just slandering your image
never seen this channel but very nice video and well explained
Gg
thanks for the vid Max, I recently started playing OTB at North's Chess Club & remembered seeing your name on the Champion's honour roll
Do you have a website I can hire your coaching?
And there lies the problem. I paused the video & I would’ve went knight e3. Levy said “always look for checks. However I would’ve lost my knight that way. How do you feel about *Always look for checks?*
Please don't use ai art for the video profile. Other than that great video

I recommend the bench press

First video of yours that’s come across my feed. I like it
Using ai generated thumbnails… this looks unprofessional and might impact your reach (negatively).
