Travelling around on and off a motorcycle.
Riding in Ipswich #travel #motorcycle
A lazy ride through the UK town of Ipswich and also trying out a different camera mount on the helmet. Perhaps a bit too wobbly?

Moving up to a Suzuki GSX-8S #motorcycle
Just love the clouds shadows😊
@catguy1032 Thanks for your comments. I caught those purely by accident. I could watch those out of the window for ages.
Beautiful place 😊
@@thiyapalachanlee thank you for your comments.
Love your video, thinking of seriously getting this bike now.
@sebastianbolt7886 Thanks for your comments. I do miss it. It's light weight, looks good, and easy to learn on. Just wish it was a bit faster for the bigger roads. It did get quite a few looks and comments. Thanks for watching.
Ahh Orwell's. A Suzuki dealership. I wonder if you've taken the 800RE for a test ride yet? Unless, you've made the 8S a mini tourer? Ipswich is Freddie's old area? Glorious to see the weather is still shining. I wonder for how much longer... Well done!
Many thanks for your comments. I would like to try the 800RE at some point. I am also going to try doing a moto camping video with the GSX-8S to see if this could be a mini tourer. Some videos to come out in the next month or two featuring that. Yes, Freddie Dobbs used to live about a mile away from the dealership and still visits Ipswich on his Bonneville. More videos to come, depending on the weather, although I do need to get used to riding in wet weather and seeing what the video footage looks like. Thanks for your comments, always welcome.
Beautiful scenery, a fantastic motorcycle, professionally edited, presented & dynamic music! But, you have a radio voice too! Please let us hear your sultry tones! Though, your exhaust system sounds bloody brilliant!
@stevesanelli90 Many thanks for your kind comments. I am learning as I go along, both riding and video editing. I have a few more videos planned as well as trying a bit of moto camping coming soon. Not sure about the radio voice, though, lol, but I will give it ago. Going to try and get some better sound from the exhaust whilst riding as well.
@@lost-again after watching your Bahrain videos, you speak eloquently & knowledgeable! You're a star & you can do it! The Suzuki is a brilliant motorcycle no doubt! Bring out your personal likes/dislikes. Cheers
@stevesanelli90 Many thanks for that, that does give me more inspiration and confidence.
The cowl looks better but with a back seat you can give random Females a ride on the bike whenever they ask..Luckily I live in a place that helmets are optional if you have health insurance to cover the added hospital costs of not wearing a helmet..of course you could carry a 2nd helmet as some people do when they go to a busy place vs just riding solo on the country roads..only you can know whats right for you..imagine having a cute girl asking for a ride but you don't have the seat on..
@agentcovert thanks for your comments. I think I may keep the seat and try my luck and at least I will have a seat in place just in case one day that happens.
😊
❤❤
You're never lost where you are found! Aboard the excellent 8S
@stevesanelli90 I always take the longest route home while riding the GSX-8S. Such a lovely bike.
Beautiful place 😊
❤😂🎉
Enjoy your day with your beautiful motorbikes
@@thiyapalachanlee Thank you so much for your nice comments.
What a glorious day to be on the best bike! Another thing about the UK which is kinda freaky is, we both drive on the same side of the road with RHD cars. Yet, cars parallel parked on either side of the road are all facing any direction! Why is that? I wonder how many incidents occur because a parked driver on the far right facing the LHS driving direction would see a bicycle/motorcycle coming from the opposite direction and the drivers view being obscured by another car Infront & A -B pillars of both his car & the car or can Infront of them as they're wanting to pull out on to the road driving on the wrong side temporarily? Has it really become a free for all? Try that here in Aus & they will tow your car away or fine you for parking facing the wrong direction. Otherwise, enjoy the rest of summer on this absolutely incredible machine!
@stevesanelli90 Thanks very much for your comments. Parking rules over here in the UK seem to be forgotten about. I have, on a few occasions, had to watch out for a car door to be suddenly flung open in my direction as I am passing. Also, at night, people often park facing the oncoming traffic with their head lights on, causing some degree of blindness for several seconds to the oncoming traffic. I have a few more videos planned, hopefully before the autumn arrives here. I think in Australia you may be now looking forward to your summertime? I certainly agree with you about the GSX-8S being a fantastic bike to ride.
@@lost-againMost fortunately, we can ride all year round. I'm down south in Melbourne & there may be a couple of super miserable days, but on the whole, perfect. There is no snow, but there can be a bit of black ice. These are warning posted though. Cheers
❤❤❤❤❤
Enjoying the summer days before winter sets in, on the magnificent 8S! Glad you're still enjoying it!
@stevesanelli90 Oh yes, it's a fantastic bike, loving every minute of it.
You are so boring to listen to
@jamespardy6921 thanks for your comments. Yes I did think that when I have been doing these. I need to try and lighten it all up a bit. Thanks for the feedback I will aim to get better at this.
🙄
A lesson for the weary traveller...never arrive early before check in especially when its 4 times hotter than your home! Fascinating country.
@stevesanelli90 Bahrain is definitely worth a visit. Hopefully, I can visit again, perhaps with a drone, and I expect a lot of red tape and forms to complete for that!
You're a funny bloke! I found in Dubai, the amount of concrete, marble & environment contributed to the thermal heat that never cooled down even at night. I wonder if you're there for work or holidays? Enjoy
@stevesanelli90 thanks for your comments. It was one of those trips where just about everything went wrong. Apparently, a week or so later, after I left, the souq market burnt down. I like the GSX-8S in your profile picture, by the way.
@@lost-again I need to go back to see Part#1
Well done !, very interesting film. So nice and clean wish the UK was the same!.
Very informative video, where did you get that cowl, is it original accessory or aftermarket
@uralgms thanks for your comments. It's an original suzuki accessory that came with the bike. When I was initially handed it at the dealership, I wasn't too sure what it was.
@@lost-again I have seen some fake accessories nowadays in aliexpress but I really surprised that Suzuki has done this mistake
@@uralgms it feels put together in a bit of a hurry. Definitely leaks when caught in a rain shower.
Which rear hugger is that? Looks awesome ❤
@@Mantocu Thanks, it's the Puig Hugger | Carbon from an online company called pyramidmoto.co.uk. very easy to fit as well.
Best things to do in Bahrain: Leave.
The foot brake is a dual brake you can’t use back on only
@brysonpearman1343 Yeah, I am not sure why they do that on these bikes. Whilst I was learning, I had to remember not to become too reliant on just using the rear brake only.
How was your experience with the Brat? Reliable?
@stan999 For me, apart from the horn button needing some attention (quick spray of wd40) and tightening the bolt holding the radiator expansion tank, overall it was a reliable and fun bike to own and ride. The maximum speed I got from it was around 65mph, and it felt a bit uneasy on faster roads. But overall, it was a fantastic bike to learn on and good for town, city riding.
@@lost-again i see.. im stuck between a new brat or wk scrambler or a used jap bike..aaaa... such a hard decision to make..i think if i take care of it with regular maintainence maybe the chinese route would be fine.. fingers crossed.. thank you for your reply man..appreciate it
Keep the seat!
@agostinhofroes4169 thanks, I will.
Fantastic motorcycle, fabulous sound, element to be a lout. Cheers. Best motorcycle ive ever had & ive had a few
@stevesanelli90 Many thanks for your comments. I have enjoyed every mile on it so far. It's so easy to handle, plenty of power, sounds great, and looks great. It's my first big bike since getting my licence, so I am still new to the world of motorcycles. Love it.
Hey, just found your YT channel. The 8S is a great bike! Don't know how long you've had it, but I've put on a GIVI 5Ltr tank bag as a packet of darts holder, wallet, sunnies, a drink or 2, helmet lock & wiring harnesses. I have the seat cowl fitted normally, but when I go touring, I have a Ventura rack & swap the cowl for the rear seat because I use a 10Ltr Kreiga bag using those prefitted material hooks out back, but have removed the pillion strap & fitted Kreiga loops in place using the screws & larger washers. Will subscribe. Cheers
@stevesanelli90 hi, many thanks for your comments. Good idea about the tank bag. I have been looking at one of the Oxford ranges. Also, like the idea of the Kreiga bag. Eventually, I would like to take the bike on a tour from the UK over to Europe. I will take a look at the Ventura rack as well. Many thanks for your recommendations and for subscribing.
@@lost-again no, no thank you for being a content creator. It takes guts. Not sure if you use quadlock? I find them to be great products. You have the small flyscreen fitted I believe? Powerbronze make great screens however, if you have the factory USB port, the PB brackets for the 320 screen get in the way of the USB port. The only way around it is to get a 90deg adaptor, and relieve the rubber plug a little to seal it. The GIVI tank ring will work with a multitude of capacity GIVI tank bags that won't impede your view of the TFT
@stevesanelli90 yes, I noticed the blank plate for the usb when I fitted the screen. I have a USB under the seat but route that towards the front so I can plug it into a hub inside a tank bag. Well that's the plan at the moment. Quadlock looks good. I may get one with the charger and the vibration dampener.
@@lost-again dampener is a must
That number plate is ugly af
@hitman_05 yes, another thing I want to change soon.
Hi there, what bar-end mirrors do you have on it please?
@Swatto hi the bar end mirrors are from eBay seller 'ncooksecurity' / MotorbikeAlarm. They just clamp onto the end weights.
Looks really nice 😊 great capture
I like the seat cowl. Looks different and sporty.
Thanks for your comments. I have the cowl fitted again and will keep that on until the weather in the UK gets wet again. Then I will put the seat back on. Cowl is good apart from where the top part fits the base as that would let water in on a rainy day.
Wow 13k views that is amazing 😊
Wow great video hope your well are you back in Thailand?
@fatherandsonwildlifeandexp1409 hi hope you are well. I am good, thanks. I'm back in the uk at the moment, but hopefully, I will get some more content published soon.
Will the bike pass a MOT with that exhaust, or is it race only. I am finding it difficult to find a street legal to fit my gsx8s.
@soulfish61 very good point, I have another 2 years before I will find out the hard way. But I am told most mot testers will pass it as long as the baffle (db killer) is fitted.
Hello. Do you have any links to the mirrors and the bungs to cover the original mirror holes? Were the mirrors easy to fit? I thought the thread pattern of the Suzuki handlebars are different to standard.
@CraftyMrRyan Hi, thanks for your comments. I got most of the accessories from an online company called Evotech Performance and the bar end mirrors from eBay seller 'ncooksecurity' / MotorbikeAlarm. I think you may be right about the thread being non-standard. I had to clamp the mirrors on to the the original end weights instead.
Great video my friend 😊 keep up the great work

Parallel twin sounds like shit no matter what.
Thanks for your comments. I personally think it sounds better than the stock exhaust did. I would like to compare it against a few other models at some point in the future.
@@lost-again See above.
Beautiful scenery mate looking good great music 😊 where in suffolk is this?
Thanks for your comments. This was along the A1120 towards Baddington. I used the wrong camera settings, though, which makes it look a bit grainy. Hopefully, I will be filming in 4K soon.
@@lost-again sounds good my friend how you keeping?
Now I can enjoy a journey through the countryside without leaving my home!. How about a journey to Bawdsey or Snape mountings.
What a lovely looking little bike especially in black. Looks like it has a nice fit and finish.
Thanks for your comments. It does get some attention from others on the road, especially with the exhaust fitted.
Did you have any electrics problems?
Yes, just 1. The horn switch stopped working. It turned out to be damp, getting into the switch. A quick squirt with WD40 cured it. Seemed to be OK after that. Other than the horn switch, everything else worked fine.
Lovely bike, i have the same and the modes do work and in bad weather A mode can catch you out, the quick shifter is excellent up anddown , a great package , fuel consumtion is down to how you ride i get between 55mpg sprited and 73 i c mode gentle touring easily done
Wow them bikes are amazing
Thanks for your comments. I met him purely by chance. It's his lifetime bike collection. A very interesting gentleman.
@@lost-again he's very interesting for sure no worries how you keeping?
Love minr E same colour and a yr old now, engine is brill and love the looks , fit and finish is top shot, no messy wiring hang around and the quick shifter is spot on up and down best one yet, power may be down compared to the hirnet but durring a back to back test the 8s was all voer the hornet better handling ,ride brakes where on par and enging sound with stovk oarts much sweeter if a litted muted, the finish suprised me the hornet was a great bike but the 8s was just nicer feels a bigger proper bike and abke to move around on it, glad i got it now, oh fuel con is around 55 to 70 mph depends on how i feel 10 out of 10
Thanks for your comments. The more I ride the GSX-8S, the more I love it.
