I used to do medieval sword fighting in armor and taught this to young people, nearly all males. I was one of the few women who actually fought with men while in armor fully fighting them on the same level. It was fun but now too old, still enjoy watching young people go through the drills. A side thing was Medieval Japanese sword work. Fun stuff! Bamboo can whack but not break unlike when I and my husband both broke an arm fighting medievals sword fighting.
