Close ~ for more specifics, it's a KC135 re-fueling tanker coming from the air-force base. It's made based on the old 707 jets and made for refueling other jets in the air. It's a Training mission to practice in-flight refueling; 2 jets would fly over first and then this big one. So not so much for transport of goods or people but fuel. So Cool! Especially when it flies so low and over head!

@@LifeisBetterinFlipFlops Not quite. The C-135 (717-100) was not based on the 707, but both do share a common lineage through the 367-80. The C-135 is closer to the 367-80 than the 707, which had a wide fuselage more suited for passenger service, while the C-135 series was originally developed as a tanker, so it retained the narrow fuselage of the 367-80. The military aircraft based on the 707 is the C-137 series.

Hi, not California, but it sure does look like it! It was Utah heading South out of SLC which isn't normally stop and go traffic jam. It was pretty crazy!
