Yes! I'm so glad you are able to see this over stimulated concept for what it is. It's just referring to someone who experiences their true essence knowingly. We are always being our self (Awareness), but 99% us are not KNOWINGLY being, we mix the self with the content of our experience then feel and believe ourselves to be a cluster of thinking and perceiving which we call the body/mind. Knowingly abiding as Awareness is how one has "Enlightened Experience" but no person ever becomes enlightened, only Awareness can be aware of Awareness :]

Yes...I had an awakening prior to the direct path, but it wasnt until I went under a guide that I experientially discovered who I was and the nature of reality. I'd suggest doing more research many famous sceintist are still studying and looking for this "stuff" your above statement has no validation of matter experientially. Infact there is no world, no distance , no time or space There is only dimensionless consciousness and everything appears to, within and is made of consciousness. This isn't a material universe... and I can prove it to you if your open minded enough to take the direct path with me :)

Feel free to reformulate If you did :) As far as the second portion of the comment your absolutely welcome! There's no need for the spiritual path to be shrouded in mysticism, infact it's not called mysticism because it's some other-worldly experiences or knowledge, it's actually SO SIMPLE that 99% of the population overlooks it. I feel as it is my job to de-box the extravagant packaging these understandings came from and present it in a way that even a 10 year old could understand. All that's required is your desire to know yourself and the truth! ✨️

Hi Koolaid thanks for the question! So I wouldn't really call it a choice, it's more like a realization. So the typical person not only believes but feels that they are the doer of experience, if we are investigating into the nature of ourselves then at some point we begin to make our stand as the "witness" but we can only do that by seeing clearly first that we aren't our thoughts, images, sensations, and perceptions. From their we just have to continuously abide in and as the witness, by doing so it's eventually realized to the seeker that there is no doer, so we can say yes it's a choice at some level to begin divesting ourselves of that belief or identity and just giving our attention to the witness. The more and more we become aware of these "I" thoughts and disassociate ourselves from it the more it is seen clear that there is no doer. In most cases it's definitely a gradual process as the rational mind is deeply wedded to the "doer" and the "I" thought can be very... evasive from our awareness mostly because of the decades of conditioning we've layed upon ourselves. Constant self-abidance, acceptance, and surrender will eventually lead the seeker to this realization of no-doer. I hope this answered your question :]

But isn't non-doing a form of doing, i.e. detaching and disassociating your identity from what is happening? maybe another way to ask is... is the "will" that takes us from the experience of doing to non-doing, a form of doing or also something we just watch? I guess maybe it doesn't matter. But I don't see an issue with experience of doing.

My pleasure. So yes, there is an experience that is required if we can say that is necessary for one to even have the realization that one isn't a doer and that is the experience of Being. It's has been seen clearly first that you are Awareness and not a body/mind through direct experience rather than intellectual and conceptual knowing. If you are doing than your not being, If you are being your doing. So just by being your are doing, and if your doing you are not being. it's a paradox you awareness must see in your experience. There is no issue with the experience of doing but the reality is that there is doing yet no doer. If you try to understand this with the intellect the rational mind will argue, this is why when we expose to the mind truths of ourselves and reality through experience, then it changes HOW we experience.

The spiritual path doesn't need to be difficult and shrouded, aslong as it's presented in a way that's been unboxed from colorful packaging it originally came in.

Hey man that means way more then you know. I found when I was on my own spiritual journey that alot of the information was loaded with way to much context and not explained precisely, I found myself watching videos numerous times and multiple people just to derive a intellectual understanding. The reason I made these videos is EXACTLY for this reason, I don't mind if I ever become a "famous youtuber" all I care about is providing you and others the truth through the most simple and direct means so thank for taking the time to inform me on this 🙏 Happy to know I'm helping 😌

Yea that's usually easier said than done, I consider surrendering our presence to god being one of the "end game" goals. Once we've surrendered the body/mind then full liberation of suffering is attained, but this is more of a gradual process as we tend to bounce back and forth for a little while from ego to our true essence until finally we are fully established. In some rare cases like Ramana M, one goes straight to their being and remains there.

​@@jay.the.mystic Becoming fully established seems to be the challenging part. The personal identity keeps coming back, and the belief in that identity is rather compulsive. Have any tips for permanently dissolving the personal identity? Also, what are the other end game goals?

@@thatrandomguy712 Hey there! First off thank you for the question. So yes for most of us we experience this back and forth from the manifested to the unmanifested. First in foremost we have to have this recognition of our true nature and see that we aren't this personal identity that we've related with our entire lives, once we've seen for ourselves through experience the very essence of who we are which would self-enquiry then we move into what is called self-abidance. Like you said the pesky ego tends to keep making it's appearances even after we've had the taste our true nature, it's scared and rightfully so because it's end is near. Self-abidance means to abide knowingly as the true self, the more and more we do this the more and more we become established, one minute we are caught up again in the content of experience or someone says or does something that triggers those old patterns of thinking and feeling and somehow we slip right back into the ego but that's fine because once we've had this recognition the mind can never go all the way back to it's old conditions, we've stretched it so to speak. At that point all we have to do is catch ourselves slipping back to ego and remind ourselves that I'm not this body/mind I'm not the doer im simply the witness of my experience and then we slide right back into self-abidance. We just rinse and repeat this until finally one day our experience has little to no affect on pulling us out of our being, you become established. Like I mentioned it's a mostly a gradual process. Just practice self-abidance... if I can even call it a practice, because reality of it is, your always the pure light of knowing, it's not something we become at some point it's a gradual realisation of what we've always been :] I hope this answers your question!

@@thatrandomguy712 Hopefully I didn't create any confusion by saying "end-game" as if they're truly was an end to this never-ending upward spiralling journey we call ascension. But I can atleast say there are stages of realization so here's my perspective... Realizing that there is no doer of experience experientially not conceptually, Releasing the FEELING of being a separate self that's located and limited inside a body, it's one thing to dissolve the belief of being a separate entity but the FEELING that I Awareness is somehow IN the body mostly located behind the eyes outlives the recogntion of who we are and takes time with yoga meditations to dissolve the denseness of the body and the feeling of being located. And lastly that there was never separation to begin with, that all there is, IS knowing and you are knowing in this way we find out that all we ever truly experience is ourselves. Knowing is Knowing, Knowing. This is the essence of Non-Duality, the highest teaching I can provide is that there is no US or people or even a world, there is only Awareness or Knowing or Consciousness however you wish term it.

Haha, so i've never herd that one in particular. Usually it's "what your looking for is looking for you" but if I think about it, it would also be semi-accurate to say "what is looking". Your true essence is often referred to as The Witness, Perceiver, or Observer. You are essentially that which is perceiving these words im writing, but I say semi-accurate because even without perception there is still Being, the awareness of Being which is an experience albeit an objectless one.

Enlightenment is when you to stop pretending that you are an individual that is disconnected from the whole. It usually messes people’s lives up and possibly the lives of those around you. Stop saying consciousness is “infinite”. Infinity is not a quantifiable term. It may be immortal as far as our understanding but it very likely had an awareness point and will eventually fade into unawareness of itself. Its main goal is to create conditions so that it can love itself unconditionally. If you are an invisible being that can’t experience anything beyond your awareness that you exist, it then becomes essential to create conditions so that you can experience unconditional love.

Key thing to remember is just not associating yourself with your thoughts & remaining as present as you can.
