20 VINYL RECORDS TO SPIN WHILE STONED #vinylcommunity #420 #vinyl #vinylrecords #psychedelics
I came across July about 8 years ago and was floored as to the quality of the songs, sound and production of the album. Amazed that album didnt fly high on the ability of its own merits.
Just hit my bong with you BRO😵💫 As you can tell good stuff
Just MuSick? best of wishes to you and yours, forwhatever youare dealing with. Your vids got me thru some serious health shit, i look forward to each one. Cheers from ToCanada[Spokane}.
Yeah!!!!!
Great Stuff......How do i send you some comics? I picked up a couple and the art work is awesome. Id like to send them to you.
Hey Brian, what a great list! Even the ones you showed before you got to the top 20 are fantastic. July is just mind blowing, and the End is awesome. Blossom Toes gives off a Piper at the Gates kinda vibe. I have the US version of the Idle Race LP, great stuff, and you are correct in the fact that some songs sound like early ELO. I have a weird Soft Machine comp of their first 2 albums, and would like to get them separately. I remember seeing Crazy World of Arthur Brown on Ed Sullivan, with flaming helmet, Ed looked a bit nervous! Love that Art album, every song a gem! Deviants Rule! You're right, Disposable isn't shown as much as their other two, but it's just as good. Emerlist Davjack is my favorite Nice album, that opening track, Flower King of Flies is a great psych song. I have yet to listen to Horse, first one you showed that I don't have! Odessy and Oracle is classic! Open Mind's Magic Potion is such a great track. I need to pull out Pussy and play it! Thanks for the mention with the Five Day Week LP, another band John Ducann was in was the Attack, a great psych band that released only singles, but there is a comp available. Gun is a great album, as is their second album, Gunsight. I have the same RSD press of that Tomorrow album, love it. Just picked up a copy of SF Sorrow with the UK cover, incredible album. The Pink Fairies song, Heavenly Man sounds a bit like Bowie's Space Oddity. I'm having a hard time finding that Archazel LP, there's no US sellers for that on Discogs or Ebay, my only hope is that it turns up at one of the stores I frequent. Ogden's is the Small Faces' psychedelic masterpiece! Thanks for blowing my mind with this far out and groovy selection of British psych!🥴😵😵💫
Great picks as always Cos. For a small island area, the U.K. is overloaded with musical talent, the finest bands produced in the 60's and 70's. Hell you did not even have to mention Pink Floyd, Cream or Deep Purple! So many in bullets in the belt, its hard to choose. I would ad Caravan's (best known for their 3rd album 1970's In The Land Of Grey And Pink) first album (S.T. 1968)as a psych classic. Throw in The Edgar Broughton Band's first album "Wasa Wasa" and Status Quo's first 'Pictures Of Matchstick Men followed by some Traffic with "Mr. Fantasy" and Nektar's "Journey To The Centre Of The Eye". Obscure U.K. psych is where its at for me, groups you mentioned like July and Horse as well as Sam Gopal on an earlier show. Having shared the sacred herb backstage with Hawkwind on a number of occasions, they have a special place in my collection. Anything Hawkwind is classic psych to me.
What a great bunch of slabs! Hey Cosmic B! Thanks for this little bit of sunshine in the middle of a literally shitty week over here in T-town!
Oh Cosmic One we meet again on the super information highway! I have a copy of that July record. It's amazing. Apparently it's the favourite album of the dude from the UK band The Horrors. Their albums Primary Colours & Skying are mind blowing. Listen to the track Sea Within A Sea to get the vibe. Always keep it fresh man. As a viewer it's always good to see stuff on the outer rim of the Cosmic Realm. Jeff Lynne sans beard & shade...woah! I need to get some Soft Machine on vinyl to get aurally stoned to the be-jeebuzz. Imagine seeing Arthur Brown back in the day, coming from the roof with his head on fire while singing Fire. Who needs drugs with shit like that!! Supernatural Fairytales looked like a picture disc at first. Every time you show the Deviants it hurts a little, because the only time I see their stuff it's stoopid expensive. Did the Nice name themselves after The Small Faces song Here Come The Nice? I just ordered a Horse record from Noble Records! Gotta have the Zombies. I like the stuff previous to Odyssey too. Head Machine looks cool. So their records all about roosters? 😂Open Mind are brilliant. Pussy as well. Hmmm what are ya trying to tell us Cosmic One? Velvet Fogg painting their faces, I think were just trying to think of a way to get girls to get the ya ya's out. Gun has a groovy cover dude. Tomorrow is amazing. First heard them on the Nuggets II CD box set. I love those two Pretty Things albums, but the earlier garage rock stuff absolutely rips. First heard Pink Fairies from the Rollins Band cover. Jimi!!! Wind Cries Mary gets me every time. I saw you show Arzechel ages ago & I'm still searchin' for it! Small Faces are one of the best UK bands ever! Lazy Sunday Afternoon is my favourite SF song & There Are But Four Small Faces is my favourite album. That was a solid list man. Cheers....Ben from a future time zone! 😎😎🥁🥁🎂🎂🤘🤘🎸🎸🦍🦍✨✨👹👹🍾🍾🤪🤪
All great selections. Horse is a darn good lp. Head Machine as well - have you got Toe Fat? Another blistering UK lp with U. Heep member(s). My "Pussy Plays" came with pink vinyl... The other English Pussy is quite good as well... guys from Jerusalem.
Good Job!! My Brother Man!!! ..... I Remember Getting " Satanic Majesties" For Christmas... All The Family And Grandparents Sitting Around.. Unwrapping Presents.. MY Sister Says " What Album Did You Get"? I Held It Up And Said The Name!!!! The Whole Room Went Quiet!; I Was 15 I Lived It!!!!!
I needed to keep my mind sheilds on for this one. 😵💫
Hey Cosmic Brian!! Cool list 🔥I was thinking about getting the Horse record but then the single record was reissued so I picked that up killer stuff🤘🏻 Found that Pretty Things double album in an antique store a couple years back love both albums 🔥 I was waiting for you to show Kaleidoscope both those albums are amazing picked up reissues Take care Brian ☮️
Holy Cow! The Open Mind and the Pink Fairies blew my Mind! I’ve seen the cover for the Pink Fairies but never heard the sounds! I need those albums!!! Another great learning experience! I need to start taking notes! Yes, been snowing off and on the last few days! Snowblind here in Detroit!!!
Dear CB. have you covered the passing of Peter Sinfield of King Crimson. a hockey bteamate informed me that he died at age 80, on October 14th or 15th. Cheers from SpoCanada in the Dominion of SmokeCannnabis, in the soon to be; U$$@
I don’t know Head Machine. My version of Open Mind came with a 7” of Magic Potion. That pussy looks hot.
cool albums as ever man, hearing jimi in the 80s when i was still at school blew my mind as well just wow, cheers brian
Vincent Crane went from Arthur Brown to Atomic Rooster. My 5 picks are "Shhhhh" by Ten Years After, "Mighty Garvey" by Manfred Mann,"In Search of Space" by Hawkwind,"The Story of Simon Simopath" by Nirvana and "We Are Paintermen" by The Creation.
roger dean did the gun cover, i was listening to Hendrix and other psych bands in 1983 also, i still do!
Hey man. I'm in mourning after attending the Ohio State vs Michigan game yesterday, What a shit show. Major depression setting in. This video will help ease my pain. UK psych is my favorite subject. July is probably the greatest psych lp of all time. Idle Race I'm still missing in my collection. Art album is outstanding. All The Deviants lps are worth owning. Horse is a great band.I just spun that Head Machine album, the vocals are an acquired taste. I would rank The Pretty Things ahead of The Stones. Pink Fairies are killer. Arzachel is one of my favorite albums. I'm holding out for an OG of that Small Faces. All the other ones you showed were equally great. Thanks for cheering me up. Back to self loathing. Peace ✌ ☮ 🕊
Hey David! Man you’re really invested in Ohio State huh? LoL! I didn’t watch as I hardly watch sports even tho I love football and basketball Hell I even dig our hockey team here in the Lou The Blues! The devastation will pass my friend. Some killer tunes will cure what’s ailing ya! For some reason I really love that Head Machine album despite the vocals. I remember once stating in an old video that the Pretty Things should be mentioned in the same conversations as the Stones, Beatles and The Who! I totally agree they’re so good! Everytime I pull that Arzachel I tend to get a buzz on and the music never lets me down! Hope ya have a great rest of your weekend! Peace ✌️👽
it is re-prize.. not re-preeeze... or.. do you have a sur - preeeze... instead of a surprise? Otherwise... great f'ing video. Great albums shown... Cheers!
Hahahaha! I knew someone would mention the whole Reprise pronunciation thing . I’ve said it both ways and someone always corrects me either way I say it so it’s a no win scenario LoL! Thanks for tuning in Always dig showing the psych stuff! Peace ✌️👽
@@cosmicvinyl2937 Love it! another would be Gram Parsons.. when people say Gree-vee-us Angel... instead of Grevious Angel. Just listen how he sings it I guess...Again.. Cheers!
Oh shit!!! My year 8 English teacher is here 😲
You forgot Quintessence, key band in the second wave of psychedelic rock in late 60's London 'Underground' hippie clubs. Great channel by the way.
I would loved to have used the Q but I don’t own that record unfortunately but now that you’ve mentioned it I’m on the case! Thanks appreciate the kind words! Peace ✌️👽
Thanks for the reply. You might want to add Mighty Baby to your list, a fantastic acid jam band who often played with Quintessence/Pink Fairies/Hawkwind. Most of the bands you listed provided the soundtrack to my wayward hippie youth in London in the 60's and early 70's. Wonderful channel, take care Mr Cosmic. @@cosmicvinyl2937
@@daubreyjaneweirdsleyDude that is so awesome! I wish I’d have been able to experience that hippie era in real time! But I was only born in 65 so that would’ve made me 4-6 yrs old LoL! I have a reissue of Mighty Baby! It’s awesome! In fact I just showed it in a video I think it was in my Top Psych Albums video? Or maybe it was the Top Hard & Heavy Psych Albuns vid? I can’t remember But anyway they’re great! Thanks again! ✌️👽
Those are great titles! Took some notes,Azrachel and Pink fairies are on my radar! Love to watch your clips after chewing some spiked up gummies.😏🌿
Hey Alain! Hell yeah love my gummies! Such a different buzz from flower I sometimes forget I’ve eaten them and then it hits me and I’m like all the sudden unable to speak Hahaha! Yeah that Arzachel is amazing as is that Pink Fairies! I dig all of these! Thanks for watching! Peace ✌️👽
YAY!!! Cosmic One and The Perch are back in RUclips land! I think I'm 1st to comment in the Cosmic Realm haha.. Love The Soft Machine and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown! The Nice are awesome too love America! That Horse sounds great! All the clips are slammin! Thank you to The Perch for your editing wizardry brother you ROCK! 🕸️🐙🕷️🦂🐛🐍🐉🐗🔫🐠🌊💗 Loving the Lust for Life T shirt Brian! Your looking sharp as always brother! 💗👽💎Love that Race with the Devil Gun song! The Pretty Things are awesome too love midnight to six man! Can't go wrong with Jimi! Love the Small Faces as well! You really hit the ball out the park with this one my good friends! Hope you have a super cool rest of your weekend! Like button whacked into orbit! Peace and much love! ✌️👨🚀🖖🍻🚬🌿🌬️💨🍄👾💣💥🤯📀🎇⛄❄️💫✨🛸
Hey B!! Yeah we kinda screwed ourselves by using that Gun music clip as YT decided to shut us down so we had to remove it. That’ll screw us up in the algorithm Ugh! Oh well hopefully the video will be carried by the great album content! Glad you got in to see the vid before it was taken down! The Perch warned me about all these clips could cause us issues with YT but as always I ignored his sage words. Some great stuff to dig into here B! You can’t go wrong with any of these records! That Jimi LP is one I’ve had in the collection since I was in high school. Such a great album! Alright man Have a super Cosmic week and stay warm! Oh btw the Perch gave me that Iggy tee! It’s so awesome! Peace ✌️👽
@@cosmicvinyl2937 Hey Brian sorry to hear that your video had to be taken down brother that sucks ballz😔 Ive heard from a lot of creators that using clips is like navigating a mine field haha Makes me appreciate The Perch and you even more! Thanks again for the stellar video's Brian! You stay cosy and warm too my friend! Peace and love! 🖖👨🚀✌️💗💗💗💗✨💫🛸

i always look forward to you toking me on a killer trip. Cosmic Brian, you are the shit fer shure!!! i,m trippin biggliest time on so much killer bands that i either forgot about, or never knew about. Cheers CB
Ross! Welcome aboard! Glad you came along for the ride! Love that you said “toking” instead of “taking” you on a trip! LoL! Peace ✌️👽
Cosmico!!! I have a twofer vinyl of Dust with the self titled one & Hard Attack all in one double LP package. Sweet! "prison issues glasses" WTF 😂OK my recommendation: Coloured Balls "Ball Power" featuring Australian guitar GOD Lobby Lloyd. I would not have recognised Rick Neilson if you didn't point him out. Another twofer I have is the "notorious B.O.B." Ramblin' Gamblin' Man/Mongrel. Sink the pink baby should've been followed by Savage Erection...sorry 🙄I can never find Fijid Pink over here. Truth & Janey...I need!!! Love The Litter. Their first 3 records are killer! Randy Holden POP 2 is amazing! Sons Of Adam is the business Riding Easy is the bomb! Bang's cover photo is hilarious. No expense spared. The POWER Of Zeus...yes! Stark Naked's cover is disturbing! I have that Euclid record. The cover reminds of the Cosmic Psyhos Go The Hack. SRC is quality. That was some heavy duty stuff Cosmic One & some research required on my behalf. Cheers...Ben 🥁🥁🍻🍻😎😎🎸🎸🔥🔥🦍🦍☠☠🎇🎇
Hey Ben! Hell yeah I was bringing in the heavies on this one! Wow a twofer of Dusts bangers? That’s awesome! I show a twofer of Pretty Things in my new video if you’re interested. I don’t know why I call black rimmed glasses “prison issue” but I have a friend who did federal time and his glasses he got while in the joint looked like mine LoL! Man I always look for Coloured Balls stuff when I’m out digging but never see em. Also you mentioned Cosmic Psychos another band who’s stuff I’d love to find! I know the album you’re talking about too I think I seen you or Garner show it. Where is Garner btw?!? He must’ve retired again? Savage Erection! Haha! Do you know that there’s an actual health problem of guys who get an erection that won’t go back to its natural flaccid state? I’ve seen this when I worked in the Emergency Room and you end up getting several needle injections into your cawk! Hell No!! LoL! So changing the subject Thanks for watching Ben Appreciate ya man! Peace ✌️👽
@@cosmicvinyl2937 My work glasses are "prison issue" then 😂Garner was back for about two videos and went again. I've been talking to him via email & zoom and he's doing well. Just can't find the motivation to do YT anymore. He often still comments on my vid's if I show any garage rock or punkers. I wish I never read your last paragraph about the Emergency Room...Jeebuz! Cheers...Ben 🥁🥁😎😎🤘🤘
Great bunch of records Brian! Im a fan of these belters. I dont own that T2 record but I own the 'It'll All Work Out in Boomland' one, scorching band! Good to see Head Over Heels. My Randy Holden one is one I picked up in 2005 on hobbit recs, its also signed. Class gear mate! Cheers!
Hey man thanks for the great comment! These are some of my fave albums to listen to I know I can always go to this genre for something hard n heavy! I’m still on the hunt for T2’s Boom Town LP. I love that Head Over Heels I was surprised to find that one in a local RS that usually don’t carry stuff like that So yeah I was pumped to find it there. Thanks again for hanging out! Peace ✌️👽
All killer 🔥🔥🔥 I had the magic box reissue of Third Power but my local shop had an OG so I bought it and traded in the reissue The only one I’m missing is Yesterday’s Children but I’m looking 👀 Great stuff Take care brother ☮️🤘🏻✌️
Boooom! Haha! Hell yeah I would love to own originals of many of these albums but the music is so good that I’m totally cool with the reissues I like the idea of picking up an OG and trading in the RE Thanks for the tip! Peace ✌️👽
Dust rocks! I still need their first one. I believe Tom Peterson was also in Fuse and Cheap Trick, I see him on the back cover of the Fuse album, which I really need to get a copy of. Picked up a copy of that Bob Segar System awhile back, love the track Ramblin' Gamblin' Man. House of the Rising Sun is the reason I bought Frijid Pink's 1st, but man, the rest of the album really rocks. Savage Resurrection and the Third Power are both bangers! Christopher and Haystacks Balboa I don't know, but I definitely will check them out. Truth and Janey is another I need to check. Man, lots of great hard and heavy bangers! Great Stuff, Oh Cosmic One! Hope your family has a Happy Thanksgiving🦃Later, Man.........🥴😵😵💫
Thanks Michael! Yeah I spaced off mentioning that Tom Peterson was also in Fuse! That’s def a solid rocker of an album! I always take a lot of shit for saying this but I love Bob Seger and not just the early kinda psychy stuff but also his long string of radio hits His stuff does get overplayed and I could go the rest of my life without ever hearing Turn the Page again! LoL! But Night Moves, Hollywood Nights, and Sunspot Baby are great songs! If you google his hits the list is long! You have to give a credit where credit is due That guy could write a song! Thanks for tuning in Brother! Peace ✌️👽
Beautiful selections! Lots of rare and unique bands! Great learning experience watching your channel!
Hey Mr Blue! Thanks for the awesome comment! Never considered myself a teacher here at Cosmic Vinyl but if that means turning folks on to great rock music and maybe a few facts along the way then I’ll take it! Thank you for checking us out! ✌️👽
Like the Randy Holden and Bang picks. Here are a few of mine: Toe Fat' "Toe Fat 2". Witchfinder General " Friends of Hell",Hawkwind "In Search of Space", Amboy Dukes "Journey to the Center of the Mind",Jo Jo Gunne "Bite Down Hard", Atomic Rooster, "In Hearing of", Badger, "One Live"Baker-Gurvitz Army "Hearts On Fire" and Montrose, "Montrose..
Holy shite! Those are all great! Not sure why it didn’t occur to me to include Amboy Dukes and I do have a copy of Toe Fat 2 I could’ve also included. Damn so hard to narrow it down to just 20-25! I almost did put in Atonic Rooster but I feel like I just showed Death Walks Behind You. Montrose were awesome! Man great choices! Peace ✌️👽
Don't forget Tom Peterson. He was also in Fuse and Cheap Trick 👍
Yeah I’m not sure how I spaced that off! I mean he was right there in the back cover LoL! Oh well aim guessing I mentioned him back when I first showed the record a couple years ago Hahaha! Peace ✌️👽
A great batch of records. Emerge by The Litter is one I want to pick up. I’m could be wrong but I think the green Power Of Zeus is alternate takes and tracks.
Hey Rich! Emerge The Litter is an awesome LP! You won’t be sorry to get that in the VR collection! You know what? You’re right about that Power of Zeus RE It does have outtakes & unreleased material. Now I may have to get it LoL! Peace ✌️👽
Yo! Cosmic Brian, Fuse... now there's one I haven't heard in age's. I bought a copy back in the 80's and when I got it home, I discovered it was a counterfeit. I took it back. Still need Christopher, never see it. Yes, that's Larry West, Leslie's younger brother. Very interesting album! Did you see my video where I show a clip from Happy Days that shows that Second Damnation cover up on the wall of a radio station? True story. Plus, the flames🔥spell out the word "War". I'll tell you Brian, that's an impressive collection of HnH records. Many here are on my want list for sure. 🍄🍌🌵
Hey Ron! Always great to hear from ya my friend! Can you believe we’re still doing this VC thing? You’ve been here much longer than I as I’ve only been for 6-7 years. It just goes to show our love for great music and wanting to share that music with all our friends! Yeah it was hard to narrow these down to 20-25 as there’s so many more greats that belong here. I will have to go back and see if I can find that vid of yours It sounds familiar but I’d like to see it so I’m gonna dig around in your catalog for said video. Have a great week Ron! Peace ✌️👽
@@cosmicvinyl2937 I'll snoop around and see if I can find it, I'll let you know. I think it starts the video.
No Sir Lord Baltimore, No Stooges, No Blue Cheer, No Josefus No Lincoln ST. Exit, No Morgen, No Banchee, No MC5 and no Captain Beyond ?? I'm kidding, great list. one issue with the 20 so you'll need one more you only have 19 US records, T2 are from the UK Cosmic one, great video man!!
Hahahahaha! Dude in retrospect I cannot believe I didn’t include SLB or Stooges! I think Blue Cheer didn’t make the cut becuz I just showed them in a pretty recent video I think that may have been why I excluded MC5 as well. I have a Josefus album but it’s not Dead Man which would’ve easily made the list. How the hell do I not own Morgen or Lincoln Street?!? I have been after Banchee’s stuff for so long but they are pricey Ill eventually break down and empty my wallet for a copy! LoL! Thanks a ton for watching Baron! Peace ✌️👽
@@cosmicvinyl2937 Sounds like a good time to spend some Black Friday money hahaha, still a great list, honestly, there's probably closer to 30 to 40 hard and heavy albums that are all on the same level one way or another or one day to the next. Peace Cosmic B ☮ 🍻
Had To Add ... I Was In A Record Store In Jacksonville Florida... The Owner Grew Up With The Band " Bang" Told Me That A Couple Of Guys Drop Into The Store Now And Then!! Pretty Cool ...
Wow that’s awesome! I love stories like that! If I had met those guys I’d probably be bothering them with all kinds of questions about their music and the scene back then! So cool! ✌️👽
Wow!!! Great Gems From The Collection Bri.....Couple I Don't Have.. So Much Great Works Our There!! Really Enjoyed This One Buddy!!
Hey Dan! Yeah I was just talking to the Perch about what’s still out there in Psych and Hard n Heavy obscurities and man we haven’t even began to explore this deep rabbit hole! Peace ✌️👽
@cosmicvinyl2937 I Hear You Man!!! I Was Buying Albums From 66 Onward And Still Finding New Garage and Psych !!!!! So Many Great Artists We Are Only Now Discovering From That Fabulous Time!!!!!!
You are indeed on a roll Cos! Keep on bringing us the heavy heavy stuff! Marc Bell of Ramones fame was Dust's drummer. Both Rick Nielsen and Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick were in Fuse. T.2. was a U.K. band that were on the brink of stardom when the guitarist disappeared before a major tour. Back in 72/73 we would listen to Yesterdays Children along with another U.S. banger Valhalla and it's burning Viking ship cover. I can remember my friend had a copy of U.K. group Clear Blue Sky we would put on after listening to those heavy American bands and then he would put on local groups Warpig and Thundermug. He and his brother had such a cool album collection. Frijid Pink and Amboy Dukes were regulars on the turntable. Bull Angus had two good albums we listened to. Banchee ( two albums) we heard and Orange Wedge was a group we heard of but never got a chance to listen to. So many great bands back then, hard to remember them all.
@@danneeson7056 I love Yesterday's Children. Their album disappeared from Spotify so now I need to find it
@@danneeson7056 I got an AKARMA reissue of Clear Blue Sky. OG was on Vertigo. Roger Dean artwork
Hey Dan! Lots to unpack here Yeah I completely forgot to mention Tom Petersson as also being a member of Fuse! Not sure why Rick hates that he was in that band. They were awesome. I love that Yesterday’s Children LP! And I am always looking for a copy of Valhalla that I can afford. Hoping to possibly find it at an upcoming Record Show. All those bands you mentioned are awesome! Man I didn’t know that about the T2 guitarist I may have to look into that story Sounds wild! Man I completely spaced the Amboy Dukes! A case could def have been made to include them here Thanks a ton Dan! Peace ✌️👽
@@stereo999I was so lucky to have found that YC record How does that record end up in a thrift shop in the middle of Iowa?! ✌️👽

I would love to have a few original pressings of some of those albums. The Euclid album "Heavy Equipment" on Amsterdam Records for one. Some real gems here CVB. Power Of Zeus. Excellence. <> I wonder how many of those "Pop II" albums Randy signed. I have seen it shown at least 25 times in the VC and most of them were the signed reissues. Another great pick. You killed it Brian. You certainly know and appreciate the hard and heavy psych. CVPM {Cosmic Vinyl Psych Master}. Always good to spend a little time with you. Have a good Thanksgiving~ Rob/Boston
Hey Rob! Hope you’re doing well going into the Holiday Season my friend! Yeah I’m never disappointed when I reach into my heavy psych shelves for a record! They’re all so great in their own way! I even tried to move on and get into some other music but I always end up going back to the psych well for some slammin tunes! I want to say that I read somewhere where Randy H signed 2000 copies of Pop II! I could wrong but I seem to remember that # for some reason. Happy Holidays Rob! Have a great week! Peace ✌️👽

Hey B! Yes! The return of Phlazzy! Always fun to get him in on the action! I think he’s actually a toy from Marvel’s X-Men collection Senator Kelly! LoL! Yeah you can’t go wrong with any of these records! And there are so many more I could’ve included! I have a story about that sleeveless shirt I actually told it in the original draft of this video but we edited it out The story of where I got that shirt is kinda wild I was in my 2nd stint in rehab for my opiate addiction and I met this guy who was in a motorcycle gang You meet a lot of interesting characters in rehab! LoL! Anyway he was wearing that shirt and I was like Dude that shirt is so rad! So when I was being discharged after a month or so he surprised me by gifting me the shirt! I was so stoked! I hope that guy is still doing well. Those motor cycle club guys always have the greatest stories What a wild life that dude lived! I found my old journals from being in rehab and it was really weird to read where my mind was at back then! We received a pretty significant snow yesterday here in St Louis Man it’s too soon for that shite! Hate snow but my dogs seem to love it! The Perch is further south so he may not have gotten any snow yet but he has his hands full exterminating creepy crawlies and forging his own steel! LoL! Have a great one B! Peace ✌️👽

Kick Ass collection!!! Awesome album you got from Bill! I was able to buy that Dust album from Bill’s collection. Steve Carlson got their debut. I recently found another one online. Very cool to have both of their albums now! That Stark Naked cover is fantastic! I dug their music too! Crazy that you got a sealed copy! It’s like unlocking the sands of time! I’ll have to try to get that album. Such a killer time for music! We are lucky to be able to go back in time with each listen to these vinyl records!
Mr Blue! Hell yeah I love not only the music but also having a piece of musical history! I had no idea what to expect when unsealing that Stark Naked LP that remained intact for all these years I was kinda worried about a possible warp but it was in perfectly preserved condition! Man I miss Bill Young He was such a nice guy and he fought me so much about record collecting and gave me so many great recommendations for psych on vinyl. He was always so generous and kind. Damn I miss him 😔 Thanks for tuning in Peace ✌️👽
Yes! I'm all about hard and heavy psych, as you know. Right up my wheel house. Both Dust lps are must haves, as are all these albums, I'm sure. Fuse is under rated. I dig Bob Seger's early albums, his later stuff was and still is overplayed on the radio. Savage Resurrection is spectacular, as is Third Power. Michigan and Ohio was the hot bed for hard and heavy psych back in the day. Christopher is straight killer and essential. Haystacks Balboa is an interesting album. I'm fortunate enough to own T2 Boomland original, one of my favorites in my collection. Truth & Janey you can't get much heavier. All of The Litter lps are great and worth owning. Too bad Head Over Heels was a one and done band. Randy Holden I would place right behind JPT SCARE BAND as my all time favorite, with Poobah up there as well. All 3 of Damnation lps are worth owning, as well as their 4th album under the band name Glory. Bang is outstanding heaviness. One of the crown jewels in my collection is an OG Dragonfly. Can't have a list without The Power Of Zeus. Killer! Or Euclid. Stark Naked has prog leanings, great album. SRC debut is essential, their other albums softened. Yesterday's Children is in my top 5, that cover is fire. Great promo copy. Great video. Have a great holiday Captain. Peace ✌ ☮ 🕊
Hey David! Sorry so late to get to your comment I’ve been a bit lazy this week and just plain exhausted from work. LoL! Yeah I feel fortunate to have all these albums whether they’re reissues or originals. The music is so killer and I had no idea how many obscurities were out there that remained undiscovered by the mainstream! So glad there’s all these labels out there who are bringing these gems back to life! Man I would give anything to own a copy of JPT Scare Band! I’ve never seen it at any shops or shows. Did you grab a copy of Wizard reissue? If so how is it? I better grab a copy before they too become extinct or harder to find! Thanks for watching as always I appreciate you input and your encouragement is the stuff that motivates me to keep doing this! Peace Brother ✌️👽
Truth & Janey are total killer . Thanks for posting so many awesome albums, great selections . 😎👌🎸
Thanks Craig! Glad you were into it! Thanks for tuning in! Peace ✌️👽
Quackenbush 😂 all killer albums Brian! I know most but few there I'm gonna check out
Thanks Gary! Appreciate ya checking out the vid! Peace ✌️👽
YOU HAVE A PROMO COPY OF YESTERDAYS CHILDREN!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 Been after dusts ‘hard attack’ for years, I have a reissue but want a first press. They never pressed it here in 🇬🇧, so very difficult to find a copy. I’m not going to pay the huge postage fees and VAT prices to get a copy over here, I will get one eventually. Nice list my friend.
Haha! Hey Martin! Yeah can you believe I found that Yesterdays Children copy in a small thrift shop/collections shop in a small city in Iowa called Fort Dodge my hometown. How does that record get there?!? So strange what can be found where right? Yeah I hope ya find a copy of that Dust LP because I know you’ll love it! Thanks Martin! Peace! ✌️👽
First comment! Woo hoo! Back in the 90s I got a CD reissue of Savage Resurrection with liner notes by Nick Saloman of Bevis Frond!!! I have Third Power on compilation of Vanguard stuff called FOLLOW ME DOWN, which I highly recommend.
Hey Steve! Oh yeah that Savage Rez is a great album! I also dig Bevis Frond! Would be cool to read what he wrote about the Sav Rez. That Third Power jam is the opening track of the album I showed! Great stuff Thanks Steve! Peace ✌️👽
Man excellent video, and fab to see quite a few British albums of psychedelia in your picks, i'm a Brit myself,a pretty different beast to the US & Canadian versions of psychedelia. More whimsical at times, more pop Inspired at times, more childlike at Times, more Studio Creations at times with effects like backward tapes,phasing/flanging and heavy compression , though the likes of Sam Gopal shows a darker side of English psychedelia. ALL great picks : The End -Introspection, though complete in mid 68, didnt see release till December 69, near a full 18 months because of Allan Kleins Stones business takeover. July-Tom Newman once thought of this album as an embarassment in his musical career,it seems in later years, he was far more accepting of its value in the realms of psychedelia. Blossom Toes -We Are Ever So Clean, This is a Pepperesque excursion with the kitchen sink thrown in, maybe too much going on, produced by Ex Yardbirds producer/manager Giorgio Gomelsky, and owner of Marmalade Records , their follow up album "If Only For A Moment'sounds Like a different band, much heavier and less Pop Inspired. The Gods-Genesis,Fab to see someone rating this little mentioned outfit, The Gods had some well known players go through their ranks, which unfortunately is more known than their albums,i prefer their second album "To Samuel A Son"it's more pop/psych Inspired than the proto prog of "Genesis", though both albums are great, though there IS a third Gods album, under the name Head Machine with an album titled"Orgasm", this is a heavier organ laced piece of that psych/prog crossover sound that was happening in the UK around 1969/70 Andwellas Dream-Love & Poetry. This Irish group who travelled to London made this excellent piece of magical psychedelia, its near the top of psych albums to come from the British Isles, unfortunately the following 2 albums under the name Andwella, are disappointing in comparison, nothing as mind blowing or brain scattering as Love & Poetry.A real one off from this group Sam Gopal-Escalator.The dark, seedy and menacing side of English psychedelia, with no full drum kit but tablas galore mixed with heavy ditorted guitar, with Lemmy of course in this band, like most UK psych bands at this time, didn't stay together long.
Wow! What a killer comment! So sorry it took me so long to get to it! I’ve been absolutely exhausted from working 10-12 hour days. Man I love UK Psych so much that my new video is all UK Psych! Thanks a ton for all the album factoids! I live for that stuff! Sometimes the stories behind the albums are almost as interesting as the music itself! I ended up showing the Head Machine LP in my new video! I love that record! You are so right about Brit Psych being a vast cornucopia of sounds That’s what I think attracted me to so many of those albums! Always interesting to listen to! I need to check out that other Blossom Toes LP as it sounds right up my alley! Also need to listen to the Gods other record as well! Thanks for the amazing comment! Appreciate ya watching! Peace ✌️👽
Great stuff. I have that Osmonds record :) ...Not sure where you are with modern music these days but if you are into Fugazi, The Jesus Lizard, Fudge Tunnel, and maybe early Nirvana.....check out METZ. ITs a modernish band out of Canada. Their first 2 albums are killer. Cheap too at around 15 to 20 bucks. Start with the first one (with the kid that has his head down on his desk). I cant really categorize it other than to say if you like the other bands i mentioned you should like this. Its noise rock for sure but its got an edge to it. Seems like you might be up for the recommendation anyway. I found the first album in a thrift store of all places and took a chance on it. Glad i did. Another really good album is Cloud Nothings - Attack On Memory. Another good modern pick up if you can find it. Highly recommend Metz! Keep the videos coming!
Man I am going to check out all of these bands you mentioned! I love it when people leave stuff for me to check out in the comments. If I would’ve had some Fugazi it would have been in this vid for sure! Already hunting down METZ It sounds familiar. I’ve really been getting into more modern stuff lately too. So there will be another video with new finds and recommendations in the near future! Thanks for the tips! Peace ✌️👽
I can get behind many of these; The Cars, Devo, Steely Dan, Nirvana, Ramones! Excellent video 🙂
Hey Brian! Yeah I love all those bands I figured Steely Dan the kings of Dad Rock deserved a spot They’re so talented! Tried to throw some folks off with the Mormon Boys The Osmonds! I do love that record tho! Thanks for tuning in my friend! Peace ✌️👽
You did not disappoint , some fun and interesting picks Brian. I’m glad you did this, well done. Osmonds, I will not poo poo on it lol
Hey Steve! Glad to hear from ya! Hope all is well in your neighborhood “Won’t you be my subscriber?” LoL! Yeah I don’t like doing ranking vids but I do like pulling Top 20’s tho! Those vids usually trigger the YT algorithm too! I’ll likely do something similar this weekend! Peace ✌️👽
