Hello, Your video is very good, but it is not properly SEO and optimized. Due to this, your video views are not coming as expected and your channel is not growing. Are you interested in fixing the problems?
Hello, I am an American football player and have been dealing with hamstring strains. Was wondering if it was possible to get on a call or send emails to Dr. McIntyre with questions and get his opinion on my situation. Please let me know! Thank you!
Hi Shepherd, I am sure we can arrange something. Please email admin@sportsmap.com.au
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!!! I have few questions ; 1) what is the ρ (g/mm ³)? in the equation of physiological cross sectional area? 2)Also in the same equation for physiological cross sectional area, on the denominator of that equation there is fiber length (mm) times ρ (g/mm ³) correct? But then you said that physiological cross sectional area is related to the maximum force that a muscle can produce. Wouldn't that mean that the more fiber length increases the less maximal force the muscle can produce? (because of the fiber length being on the denominator?). But we know that resistance training causes increases in muscle strength and usually increases in muscle fascicle length (especially when using eccentric contractions). How is this possible?
Having watched this interestingly from a laymen's perspective having had a US and MRI that shows a 10 centimetre tear in my rectus femoris which has retracted, resulting in a large lump three quarters up my thigh and being six months in now, I am not confident a repair can be achieved, but hope something can be done. I should see a consultant within about two weeks. I'm 67 and slipped on sloping wet rock, tried to save the fall, but pulled my foot back, which resulted in me falling on my knee and my body falling backwards. It hurt. Doc thought the lump was fluid which would dissipate eventually. I could move my leg quite well so was obviously still connected and was without much difficulty for about four months. I knelt for half an hour to do some work at home and something changed, though not in great pain, but limited in walking very far, particularly bothersome on downward sloping ground.
Good luck grandpa. Find good physio
Would have been nice if you showed the picture slides your speaking of.
"Victory or defeat is not determined at the moment of crisis, but rather in the long and unspectacular period of preparation" The quote comes from Jiddu Krishnamurti, a philosopher, speaker, and writer known for his teachings on spirituality, human consciousness, and the nature of the mind.
This video loses a lot if his slides aren't shown
Great video thank you! If there are slides you can share, that would be great
Do you have slides you can share?

Thanks for the podcast. Question. For RTS, Dr Malliaras mentions 1.3 x bodyweight for seat calf raise. Is this for 2 legs or single?
Both
what is the typical loading recommded after injury?
Great work
Thanks for sharing
This is great! How did you manage to design a graph based on Zheng et al., 2017, since they didn't provide exact numbers for each phase of the gait cycle? Just wondering.
Haha sorry for the slow reply :) Zhong et al 2017 provide instantaneous mechanical hip and knee power in one figure, i think it was the last one :) check it out again
Hello I also had also strain in rectus femoris 1,5 year ago. It got strained 3 times in a row in 6 weeks because i didnt wait... I have trained it but not constantly.. now if i train it hard i cant feel it and all pressure go to hip and i get pain there... the hardest motion for me is when i lift my leg then it feels very hard and unbalance and also i get pain in hip cuz the muscle is weak.... Please write to me and help me what to do what to start exercies firslty...and if i should exercie everyday... God bless pls help
Was curious how the jurdan test is conducted as the head it's blocking it 🤣
Just noticed I filmed a concentric slider instead of an eccentric. For the listener, we aim to use this type of exercise for eccentric stimuli, so lowering that leg unilaterally eccentrically, then concentrically up with two legs. As mentioned, nordics work too.
This is awesome stuff!
