Great venue - I am sad I missed this show!

I'm about to see them later this month and can't wait. My dad used to play their music for my brother and I during road trips and just when we would drive around on hard days and honestly their music has been such a big part of my life. Claudio's voice is so good- I can't believe how good his voice sounds in concert, since y'know, sometimes in person they don't sound as good since it's not edited or the best take only

I missed this song due to traffic 😢 and it was on my list of songs i really wanted to hear, that and mississippi half step which i also missed😢. But what a great show. Second set was amazing.

Stanley Clark can't be compared to any other bassist. He doesn't do what any bassist even the likes of Anthony Jackson, Wooten, Miller...they are bassists, Clarke took a turn on the road less traveled and School Days marked his departure from the rest. He is a musician that has always elevated the other musicians he has performed with to another level. The Clarke/Wooten/Miller material shows this. He lays back and Marcus and Victor pull out all the stops in the head cutting stuff. You hear Clarke's influence in both their playing, tone, and phrasing. When Stanley steps in for his "lead bass" he immediately starts in a good natured and loving way to mimic their riffs and then morphs and aports to the different musical cosmos his heart, soul, and spirit has evolved. Victor and Marcus don't feel slighted by the light hearted, joyfu teasingl way Clarke does it. You see the admiration, awe, and love they have...

nice but even with an Alembic the tone SUCKS. It might as well be a P bass thru a B15, kinda reminiscent of a Gibson "mudbucker". Also gotta say fire them 3 other guys, they don't seem to want to play, it's Stanley and the drummer, who is incidentally louder than Stanley to my ear. I had to LOOK to see if there was a keyboard player, can't hear the sax and the guitar just noodles around mostly. House band?

So very sorry I missed this show! What a hero of mine. Thanks for the filming. And thanks to Lisa Harrison and crew for being such great music to RVA.
