Nice vid, nice setup! My 1236 6hp 4 stroke gets to a lil less than 10mph with two people. I need to balance it a bit better. Still, twice the speed of my kayak with no more effort than twisting my wrist and plenty stable for me!

Can’t wait to get one. My son and I are big boys and I was curious as to how these boats would handle our combined weight, maybe even with a third person. Seems like they hold up well with 3 people

Nice I got 16mph out of my 10ft I think I can get a little more out of it if I mess with the height of the motor. But I’m happy with 16mph. Ur set up look nice 👍🏿

The current is going away from the boat??? I don't have a clue what that statement is supposed to mean or how it would even be possible for the currant to be going away from the boat unless you are sitting over a dam discharge port. your sound is horrible.

cool video and nice rig! i have a 94 alumacraft superhawk 1542 side console with a 2021 suzuki 30hp. was getting 30-31 mph with stock prop, getting about 28-29 with a solas prop.

Need to lose the prop and get a jet foot for where i go. The pods/steps on the back are cool though

Nice boat, awesome motor. Thats the same speed i get with a 500lb 16ft Deep V and new 25 Mercury, the 11p is matched perfect for it. Yours is lighter, and Suzuki's are suppose to rev a little higher/more top speed so Im sure u could hit almost 30mph with a 12p prop.

I have a 1232 with a 5hp Briggs and Stratton and I only get 8-10 mph idk why but I may need to upgrade to a 6hp

How does it compare to the old Yamaha 30 with regard to top speed? I just tried my new DF25A on my a Zodiac. Same prop as you, topped out at 26 mph and 5600 rpm. It would be interesting to hear the results with the 13" prop you mentioned. The DF25A is a very nice motor but I'm not impressed with the performance of mine so far. It performs just like the DF20A.

what do you think the stainless propeller is better? I will have a 5.5m (roughly 18ft) long Jon Boat. Same with the outboard motor as yours. What propeller would you recommend? thanks🙂
