Needing a win from their final game of the 90/91 season, a pack Hillsborough stadium saw the Owls top scorer David Hirst score twice as Wednesday win 3-1 to seal promotion and bounce back to the top flight.
RICHARDS NEVER WANT TO SEE THAT PRATT AT HILLSBOROUGH AGAIN, DAVE RICHARDS THE RAT THAT SACKED BIG RON, GOT RID OF DICANIO AND CARBONE.

Great times. Sad how football has changed since then and to see where Wednesday are now. Money has destroyed the beutiful game.
When football atmosphere was tribal,Racouse,Natural not like now almost staged managed esp.in the premier League.

First year I started watching Wednesday. Sorry the decline is all my fault.
Same for me lol. Home to Oldham was my first game.
Don't be too hard on yourself, this was 1991, the decline didn't start until 1999!

I was there. The last 3 minutes was grim, then I had to go and meet my bird, who was a Derby season ticket holder. Ugh.
Look at Carlton there that is passion non of this fake badge kissing rubbish. Fantastic times hope they can one day return.
Love it. This was when the game was best. Hate how fans are getting priced out going now. I know we still get goid crowds but a wage cap or something needs to be brought in to give the game back to the fans
