Wow that was fast. I always struggle with Rally Scandia because it's so bumpy. Looks like you have some good suspension and damper settings for the Skoda Rally2. Do you have a website where you have put all your car settings per event? I managed to find someone's Yaris Rally1 settings for Safari and it made an enormous difference. I can't tune to save myself 🫣😅
This video identifies a stupid thing about EA WRC. It doesn't allow you to change punctures between stages like they do in real life. You have to take a 90 second penalty in the next stage to change the tyre. How ridiculous.
actually if you have a spare it automatically does replacement between stages, there is however an overlooked situation where your tyre doesn't get fixed if you puncture it during shakedown, as i did, so i simply fixed it during another shakedown run.
Is the driver on this channel *actually* Neal Bates? If so, that'd be utterly epic!
Fraid not😅
@@nbates66 Ah bugger! Lol. Well, I'm sure I've seen your username on the old DiRT Rally 2.0 leaderboards, usually as the fastest Australian driver.
Pamela
lol that anticut at 3:23
hehe lucky i wasn't flying off the left side there instead, the device before it that i just barely missed i was way too far inside, causing the bump.
Look at you showing off naming your tuning nicely like you keep everything nice and labelled. Nobody will notice "Tuning 1" to "Tuning 7".
i gotta do something about my keyboard positioning, it's in such an awkward spot 🤣
Really unlucky on that 4th stage, the lightest touch sent you flying. Also a wee bit lucky, that area is normally unrecoverable if you went a bit further, I've killed enough runs down there. Great driving as always. Love that Porsche.
Love to see the Escort more! full send, sub 5 is impressive
Omg no!!!!
Awesome drive, just wondering if you are actually related to Neal Bates (judging by ur username) 😁😁😁 cheers!
Hehe i'm afraid not, just a coincidental name. 😅😅
I think you need to turn the diff up and make it softer in the rear xD /Hillerstrumpa :D Happy new year mate!
yeah making do with what i got at the moment, FWD with open diff 😂 (also maybe broke an engine mount during event)
Sent'd
great driving
That third stage was a bit nasty. I think that caution call could have been intensified a bit to a double or even a triple on some of those blind jumps into certain doom.
yeah there's a few pacenotes that catch me out badly on Estonia worst one is the "short" turns over jumps, thinking of reporting one or two of them on the EA forums for correcting.
Great run!!! Care to share setup? I either can't get car to turn in, or it is just too snappy and any little bump throws it into a spin.
to get the RWD cars a little more manageable try - loosening rear ARB and suspension/dampers, try loosening the differentials alot more as well, as for getting them faster, that can be a little more complicated and driver specific.
Bingo with the diff. Tried everything else. Second run in I knocked over 30 seconds off myself@@nbates66
That was insane
Fastest i got was 5:56. I need to shave off 6 seconds and I'm struggling so much. I got good on every other event fairly easily and this is just killing me. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Not sure if you still struggling but I managed to get below 5:50 to get gold by tuning my chamber to -1.50 front and -1.25 back and break distribution 65% at back. On track I started tapping breaks on corners to get car turn by weight distribution.
@@kr8os658 Thanks for this. I didn't touch the brake balance but the changes in camber made a huge difference in how the car handles through corners I felt.
True Colin Mcrae Experience.
in my case perhaps with crashes included 🙃
I was probably this guys age when I begun playing Codemasters Colin McRae 2000's games. Young bastard!!! Lol. 2023 rally gaming, is in-sane. GG's!
Hello mister! What is your setup? By the way I really like your driving, I mean bro... I would throw up after 2minutes of playing this in VR😂 Impressive!!
My system is: Ryzen 5 3600 CPU 16GB RAM Radeon RX 6800 16GB Dell Visor VR headset (1440x1440 display resolution, steamVR running at 2100x2100) Next Level Racing GTTrack Racing cockpit Thrustmaster T300 RS GT wheelbase with Sparco Mod R383 RIM SHH Newt2 Shifter (H-pattern/Sequential modes) Logitech G27 Shifter/panel (used as button box) jumping into EA WRC now definitely feeling the need to upgrade the CPU, who knows what else will be needed GPU side when VR comes 😂
@@nbates66 thanks. I tried EA WRC Generations, but it obviously worse than Dirt Rally 2.0 and RBR. The graphics are better, and I like that there are the modern WRC cars. Dirt 2.0 needs the new rally1 cars
@@nbates66 oh and one more thing. Will there be any setup tour or at least some photos of it?
nono do not confuse them - WRC Generations IS NOT EA sports WRC that just released, this one is developed by Codemasters - the team that did DiRT Rally 2.0, completely different resulting game compared to WRC Generations.
@@nbates66 oh. Then why is that Codemasters can put modern Rally1 cars in ONE of their games, but not the another?
Wooooow!!!!! This driving is totally insane 🔥🔥 I couldnt even move my feet this freaking fast with shoes on. The control over the car is unbelievable. Screeching tires in every corner. 😮
NO HANDS 😆
I'm confused as to why you are using heal-toe when you have a car with a sequential gearbox..
The car is manual. It writes in the beggining of the video. And why would he use a clutch in a sequential car? So yeah, thats why he use heel and toes
@tompa0429 ....no shit the car is manual. But it has a sequential gearbox not H-pattern. Meaning you don't need to do heal-toe or use the clutch.
@@bittymongoose if it was seq. The game would write : manual-sequential
It's manual, you can set it to auto but then the pedals don't work anymore. this guy has skills. @@bittymongoose
There are various different Subaru models in DiRT Rally 2.0, some have Sequential Gearboxes and some are H-Pattern, in the Flatout 1998 scenarios the car used is referred to as the Subaru Impreza S4 and has a 6 speed H-pattern, perhaps you're thinking of the Impreza WRC 2001(i think?) which is sequential.
Took me 5 minutes to realise you were using vr, impressive driving btw
Hi great driving, i was wondering how you are recording the vr image as one? My Monitor only shows the 2 seperate eyes.
I record using the OpenVR plugin for OBS: obsproject.com/forum/resources/openvr-input-plugin.534/
oooh, thanks alot mate@@nbates66
Hi mate,its me Racnet: kukuna2377
greetz!! try not to pickup any of my bad habits! 😅
This game's ambiance and mood are really one of a kind.
Nice drivin man!
Nice stuff mate, 3 tenths oof! 33 seems to be the slot in spot for the boat
tried my best, a few tiny mistakes just put me back a bit. 😂
Sick
Good run.
No pedal cam? I can see why you won this event so easily - buttery smooth!
Hehe yeah after the move I didn't have everything setup again yet since was awaiting some install work at my current place which required moving my things out of the way, the botchy camera velcro strapped to a monitor mount was something that'd likely fall apart. 😂
'Promo SM'
great driving!🔥🔥🔥
Saw you were topping the MA leaderboard and found your vids here, crazy nice driving! Game looks mad in VR too
Was interested to see your tune for the Porsche on Finland since I couldn't stop the back coming around on landing and had to switch to the more stable Aston. A bit of a surprise to see toe in on the rear and firming the dampers. Learned something from this, time to practice.
I seemed to get away with it somewhat here, not withstanding that odd collision but which probably really should have given me a puncture, i usually aim to try to keep RWD setups stable in finland and am very careful with my throttle inputs - generally trying to land from the various bumps and jumps with the throttle planted in finland sends me off into the trees :) Can catch another less stable(too twitchy actually) setup in my more recent video - New Zealand.
Awesome video and skills on display. Those hairpins were lovely and the couple of really awkward right handers, at 4:08 and 4:16 were just breezed through. Going to go repractice this now, awesome stage.
Good seeing a run from a quick. As someone about 25s slower and that I considered a good run, it's great seeing just how much more you can wring from the car.
awesome stuff mate! wow you can really get a feel for the FWD push at the left hander around 1:20
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great work as usual. The approach you took to balance brake and throttle to rotate the car JUST the right amount was very skillfully done. I used a different approach which I found easier, but it lost me more momentum and was slower ultimately.
Oh man, this is impressing! So fast! Thanks for uploading and sharing!
Very nice indeed! Much smoother through the corners than I was!
DiRT 4; The kangaroo simulator
Good run.
Pretty nice, some very good sections.
tough luck, had a similar wall kiss myself.
