for rush attacks I just mash it and for vanish I just do it when they are about it hit me. The tricky thing is when you visually see the opponent is hitting you it takes time for you to register that then do the input so you have to do it earlier.

Super counter makes no sense

Another good way to get the timing down better is to pretend like you're actually going to vanish but don't press the buttons and then input the Sc controls. It helps you to feel the gap between vanish and Super Counter windows.
