Buying and fixing the cheapest forklift around
Просмотров 152Год назад
Saw this forklift in a company's yard that i pass by going to work everyday, i went to them and asked if they would sell it, it was rough and needed work but it was cheap enough i decided to take it home, so this is a rough video of fixing the front of the cheapest forklift i could find.

boring holes on a radial arm

boring 11" deep forklift fork eyelets on this old polish radial arm, they warped during welding so only half of the hole is being cut, the inconsistent tool pressure makes the long bar bend.. so it appears to wobble.

Tell me you're Russian without telling me you're Russian 😂❤️
Just amazing this is as real as it gets way cool from Flint Michigan 😎
I made a retrofit on a FWA 41M. New ballscrews and it is operating on Mach 3 software.
Very cool! i had thoughts of a ballscrew conversion for this one, but it doesnt get used a whole lot. These 41m's are very rigid machines!
@@DonkusdeluxIT is not Simple but somehow i made it. I started using it only after converting it to CNC. I didn't want to work on it before.😊

This video of a Russian riding a moose is exactly what I wanted to see. Thanks. From America, with love
Wish it was a slim pretty lady riding the moose, *without* a backpack, possibly while in a dress or a skirt. *Could* you record a video of that next *if* possible?
You’re fucking weird

Awesome car man! Im looking to get me one of these here soon, hopefully i can find one!
@@HaydnKnight thanks! They are pretty scarce to find unmolested. But if you look long enough you will find one! I actually found this one on a roadtrip sitting in a field.

Ah there is the 892 in action again :-) I got another question for you: If you dont have any other machinery.. can I do all the work on the 892 myself with just regular tools and time (and determination.. I have very limited mechanical skills but I am willing to learn and put the time&energy into it. My father would be interested in it as well so I would have a helper sometimes). If you were to work the 892 all day for e.g. building a pond, how much fuel (diesel) would you go through do you think (it has a 135 gal fuel tank if I am not mistaken which is kind of intimidating :-))
I can get a 20 ton excavator in which costs around 130CAD/h plus taxes (15%) and floating (around 130 CAD). Problem is that I have a lot of work still that I want to have done (like 35 days minimum for the next 10 years I would say). Over the last two years I ran into the problem of not even getting an excavator because the contractors are so busy and much more money handing out quotes and wont even come to me anymore or don't come when I need them to. My desire to get an excavator myself has become extremely strong over the years. I am also considering buying something more new (like 60k) and do a couple of days/month work for other people to help with the payments. But if I get something more new I would get a 13-20t.
I might look at a 892 on Monday which is on for 18k. Private sale. My thought is if it is in decent shape and I can get it for 15k plus probably another 5k for floating and changing all filters, replacing all oil, maybe reseal the cylinders.. If things go well that excavator could pay for itself over the next few years. Still not quite sure what to do.
I have a few more videos of her I could upload. All the work you can do yourself! It's allot simpler then the new stuff. But keep in mind you will need big wrenches/sockets, we broke two 3/4 breaker bars when we replaced the swing bearing (why this one was cheap to buy) It likes it's fuel, but a tank should last a couple days of hard work.
@@fabiancanada8876 if you have the use for it, you won't regret getting an excavator, they are good for so many things. This one come from Alberta, and we trucked it out to BC, it's big, but you get good power the bigger you go.
@@Donkusdelux Thanks fro your quick reply again that sounds good! I definitely have a use for it. I had bigger (15-20t) excavators here on our land at least 10 times now and there is no end in sight. Every time the excavator leaves I am sad lol. I don't mind buying some tools. I am a woodworking but want to expand my knowledge and skill into metal/mechanical as well so it is time to get into welding, etc. might even build another shop some day for metal working/repair.
That's not a Dean Smith and Grace... 🤣
