I remember David Ross when he was the President of the Scottish Piping Society of London, back in the 1960s.

Nice playing, enjoyed the music; but, gotta be honest, chanter pitch is extreme. Top hand, A' & G' in particular are shrill and even piercing. You likely don't agree, which is fine, it's your sound, but a detractor to the overall experience for me.

Pipers take note….this piper proves my point: This is an excellent playing of Green Hills and, yet, its still a dreary, predictable, slog. Can’t be fixed. Spend your time learning something with spirit and melody…Highland Laddie, Highland Brigade at Magersfontein, Bonawe Highlanders….anything but Green Hills. Your listeners will thank you.
