I'd say find someone local to help you set it up. You can stay vintage with the exception of the compressor and the freon. You'll need to update to the R134-A freon. Yo won't be able to get the R-12 freon unless you find someone with some on hand and it will cost you a FORTUNE. The compressors are similar enough that the update will be minimal from the original. I personally wouldn't worry about it; they're close enough to being the same. But it's cool that you're being very particular to staying with originality. 👍

My 1st time driving my 77 Regal since I bought it 2 years ago

​@@Allrobthings.59 Ahh, MAN. It has been my DREAM to get another 1977 Regal. I just turned 57 yrs old back in August. And man, last time I drove a '77 Buick Regal, I was just a teenager who had no idea how much I would miss this cool & stylish prize on wheels. I just took for granted it was just going to ALWAYS be my car. It just started having problems that were WAY TOO much for me to handle (I was working part-time at McDonald's, and still living at home with my parents). The gas tank was leaking. The floorboards were rusted so bad that you could see the ground beneath the car. For some reason, my dad cut out the seatbelts (long before the law required the mandatory use of them). He just said that they were uncomfortable. When it started leaking gas back in Fall 1986, I panicked, and gave it over to my dad. And he did the _UNEXPECTED_ ...he _SOLD IT_ for $200😢 He just wanted to get rid of it ...but for just $200? Then he gave me his 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix. I just didn't like the Pontiac Grand Prix. And besides ...it was EXTREMELY difficult to get started. Uhhh. And those just don't look nearly as good as the Buick Regal. Man, to this day, I'm STILL having 'recurring dreams' that I still have that black '77 Regal (with that beige/tan interior). At the age of 9, I predicted that, _"When I grow up, this is going to be my car..."_ ... and after I graduated from high school, _IT HAPPENED!!!_ Man, I can just go on and on with my appreciation for that '77 Regal. Lol. Watching your video, I felt like I was actually riding in my Regal again👍🏽 Hey, brother... Cherish that classic. It's only going to become more valuable with time. I miss mine.
