Give My Regards To Broadway - November 2024 Bonus NYT Crossword
Chonk is a great word, I just added it to the game's dictionary now, thanks!
Yessss! Also, while editing, I realized what a fitting word FJORD was for the landscape this solve generated.
Nice one! Another youtuber used to try forming a starting word from some of the dancing letters. Easter egg: If you click on the tiles in the last row in order, before typing any guesses, you can trigger a dance party.
Oooh, just did this for today's recording!
house and poor dont really make sense
Seems to be a relatively recent phrase referring to spending more than 30% of household income on housing (including utilities). www.cbsnews.com/news/home-prices-sales-house-poor-mortgage/ This is first time I've heard of it!
Great second guess!
great watching this while i work at home :) keep it up mate!
Great to hear that! Thank you!
I enjoy seeing a word construction struggle every now and then! Makes me feel like I made a good game, but maybe you're just hiding your frustration from the camera 🤣 You guessed correctly that I didn't cherry pick any special word for the day -- the list is fully random and has only changed occasionally by removing some upcoming obscure/inappropriate words I missed.
I like that there's a logical way to go about solving though. I much prefer this over semantle and contexto which are on the other end of the spectrum. Those just feel like guessing to me. And I'm skeptical that those models do a good job of simulating the context mapping that human brains do. So that's the real frustrating experience! I just enjoy thinking about what possible words you can make. If there's any frustration it's with my own ADHD memory being so short I can't remember what the range was for the first letter while I'm thinking about the last few letters 😂.
Thanks for the continued appreciation ☺ I knew right away that finding words was a lot harder than Wordle since you couldn't see all the hints on the keyboard at once, so I tried to do as much as I could to make things easier. But I do think every Wordle-like should have that feature! Hope you're feeling better by the way!
You're very welcome! That's a great point about the keyboard hints. So much of my usual Wordle solves involve staring at the keyboard for a few seconds and letting my brain match the right patterns, especially after doing it for a while. Word Peaks appears to require a different approach to get good at spotting valid words. That's why I've been trying new things, thinking about 2-letter combos of letters and how likely I think they are to appear. Seems to serve me well so far. #1001 was a surprise to work out in 3 guesses though! Thanks for the kind words and support!
this is so insanely impressive. i’ve never heard of this before and i was genuinely shocked at how low your view count was. this is really interesting! :)
"Stop trying to make fatch happen" gave me a good chuckle. My starting word is KNOLL!
Nice solve! And getting to see you discover more things was really fun :D
Thanks so much! I finally noticed that the colors flashing in the corner of my right eye were related to the word I just entered 🤣
Thank you for the lovely shoutout 🥰 There were too many things to mention to pack them into my last comment, but I want to add that I love that you've taken advantage of the tile sharpness slider; that was a very recent addition and it was suggested by someone on the issue tracker!
Woah!!! I saw you on reddit and based on your username it sounded like you made videos, and sure enough here you are! Not only that, you're making videos of Word Peaks! This is so awesome for me, I'm overjoyed to see you take your time looking at all the options and even showing appreciation for the love I've put in it. I especially enjoyed your speculation about how the landscape works -- those are the player moments I dreamed of while developing it. Thank you so so much for making this video. I've been lacking the energy to continue working on the next big update, but this really gives me some motivation again.
Wow!!! I don't even know what to say, seeing you here is so cool! You've made a beautiful game and I'm proud to show it off. Thank you so much for making Word Peaks and for being my first ever supporter! I'm new to the creation space and it feels like sending things into the void at times, but this moment encourages me that supporting indie creators by highlighting and celebrating their work is the right path forward for my channel. Hopefully my videos can convince viewers to contribute to you and the creator economy at large so we can all keep doing what we love.

I did this one and I was like what type of word is gusty???
Related to heavy winds. Not a word frequently used or seen so it's surprising to see it be an answer. Seems like the word list has deviated from Josh Wardle's initial reasoning, or maybe his wife was actually familiar with both gusty and fusty.
Thnx a lot❤❤

It may sound weird but I came across your video and found it really helpful for me studying English. Thanks.
That's great! And I have heard of similar experiences on other channels, but you are the first to say this about mine. Thank you so much for watching and best wishes on your English learning journey! It's a difficult language with exceptions to every "rule". So please let me know if I say anything that is difficult to understand. I still don't have a perfect understanding of the language myself, despite speaking it all of my life.
nice one!

i got two stars on the waffle, there was a little tricky but the others were pretty easy I also got the wordle in four, i did trace, then champ and chain, before getting the answer. I almost lost the worgle, I did quiche, then budget, jumper, guards and runoff, before realizing what the answer was. Yeah… i may have used E one too many times.

My Experiences: Waffle was pretty close, igloo was easy to get, but I got baited by both inept and outdo, thinking they were inert and outgo. Also got *really* confused with enact, i thought it started and ended with an E. Tango was also easy, BUT I DIDN'T GET STARS!!! the wordle was really confusing, I got it in five, starting with trace, then guise, whole and fence, before getting the answer. the worgle I got in two, I started with comedy and then got it. really lucky! although I'm not exactly an *expert* at wordle, I'm just an addict, so take my very early worgle guess as a stroke of luck, not a sign of skill. oops this got way too long ._.
Nice! Some days you just gotta be happy with having them solved. Wordle stumped me yesterday, I just could not see the missing letter for FE_AL 🤦🏻
@@DataCrossPuzzles it was feral, i know that word oh yeah, I play a lot of wordle versions. One of my favorites is the sixordle, where you solve four six letter words in only ten guesses. There's also the wordless, where you can play three to eight letter games once a day, and the game will even time you! and btw, I may have gotten the three letter wordless in… two guesses today yeah
i am a complete addict to wordle and I literally just found your channel, I'm shocked you have so little subs, I hope you can gain more!
Thank you so much! Yeah it's been a bit slow getting started. I didn't record many wordles for July, but plan on starting back up tomorrow.
@@DataCrossPuzzles that's good to hear! unrelated, but my favorite five letter word to start with personally is trace, it covers lots of options and can be scrambled into four different words. Just a really good word all around. also my favorite letter amount to play for wordle is six letters, so I knew I had to play the daily worgle
