Sarek National Park and How We Failed to Cross It
Sarek national park is often called "The last true wilderness of Europe" and there is a very good reason for that. There are basically no marked paths, no infrastructure, and no cell phone connection.
Add in a very difficult terrain and terrible weather and you have a perfect recipe for disaster. We didn't live through a disaster, as it didn't take one to make us turn back. Just a few miscalculations and scheduling mistakes. And fear that we would become stuck on a random cliff with no help in sight.
But honestly, I couldn't care less. It was a great adventure.

Nice vid:) You probably know, however worth mentioning to those unexperienced, that there are 3 boats and at least one has to be on either side of the lake. If you are lucky you find two, take one of them and good to go. On the other hand if you find only one, you have to row across three times. Take the boat, row to the other shore, attach one of the two "parking" boats to yours, row back to where you started, detach and leave it there for the next hiker and row across for the third time and keep walking.

    • @Mindprobe

Worth mentioning for sure, thank you for that! Although I vaguely remember there were even more boats available (like 5 of them in various state of disrepair) to prevent the one boat scenario as much as possible.

"Narrow gauge could not carried so many people": That's not true! Narrow gauge is very common in the world. Switzerland has many meter gauge lines and the normal gauge in Japan is narrowed. Thank you so much for the comment (and sub)! I was honestly surprised how Japanese 1067mm trains actually look like. And you’re completely right that gauges narrower than 1435mm are quite common. But that’s not saying anything about their capacity. I’m general, narrow gauge railways were constructed in places with less demand, because they were cheaper. And it’s natural that on wider carriage you can build larger car which fits more people. I mean just comparing Stockholm’s metro and Pendeltåg with Roslagsbanan, the former’s cars are much bigger and can carry much more people.

Absolutely! While I understand the reasons why they ended the railway service, it would be so nice if you could take a train from Stockholm to Rimbo or Knutby.

Hi there! Thank you so much for the comment. I sort of take pride in my maps accuracy so I'd like to know what exactly do you mean. In this video my goal was to totally skip land claims in the Kashmir since it is so complicated topic, that unless I devoted the whole video to it, I would not do it any justice. I address this conscious omittance at 0:25

Never under estimate how far a celebrity will go to virtue signal & tell the rest of us how to live our lives while doing the total opposite in there own lives.

Thank you so much for the comment! Care to elaborate what do you mean by it? I mean neither I nor Dr Borde are celebrities, and we both try our best to minimize our waste production.
