I lost my first pregnancy at 6w to find out that specifically losing your first is extremely common. It is like your body needs to jumpstart itself. Mine was lost to low progesterone. Usually if this happens, many women have a better environment to grow life in subsequent pregnancies. I got pregnant 3 months later and had hcg and progesterone so high that they thought I had multiples. Now, that doesn't happen for everyone but I feel if more new mothers understood how common it is it might help with a LOT of grief.

What does indigenous mean? Seems like it is ONLY used to describe dark skinned tribal people. Picts are the native (dare I say indigenous) people of Scotland, and they, together with the Irish, lived a very interwoven tribal tradition for millennia, well into the early modern period. In many ways, Irish and Highlander Scots are still very tribal. We call it “clans” but it’s the same difference. Most people 100 years ago would not have agreed that Highlander Scot or Irish were “white” as a race. Maybe as a skin pigment, but not a race. Many Irish today do not consider themselves “white” as the term exists to describe a particular race of people.
