Good one 🌟
Thanks 🔥
I just got done riding the hawk out at that new single track Hatfield and Mccoy trails out in Tornado. These look a lot more chill you're going to have to show me how to get to them sometime! I been trying talk Kyle into a bike but he's never rode before.
The KLR is definitely not as good in rougher conditions as my Hawk, or KPX. It's a handful, mainly because it weighs so much more
I have a friend that is aways from you that i have ridden with . He is up by Wheeling . He had a gen2 also . I am up north by Youngstown Ohio . I live across the line in Pa . Ride safe and have fun .
Mine is actually a Gen 1. It's not the stock headlights, or windshield fairing.
Nice ! Clean up your audio a little and it would be even better. Very good start . myself I am more of a sport rider . So i have the Gen 2 . Mine is an 2009 . Love those thumpers . I can get mine to sound like an old John Deere tractor. It brings a smile to me every time.
Got to love the mighty KLR !
I like the KLR 650 a LOT! Very nice bike and good video man 🌻
Thanks ✌️. I am getting used to it. I am riding it too much on little rides that are better suited for the Hawk or KPX. I am probably going to be getting rid of either the Hawk or KPX here before winter. Take care Jesse! Tell your Brother not to catch too many fish.
@@chuckwayne7715 My first enduro was a KLR 250 that the electric start didn’t work - was an awesome little ride! There’s new Hatfield and McCoy trails out in Tornado WV I want to hit up soon. Check them out if ya haven’t
Nice bike!
Thanks Soap !! I bought it on a whim, but will put it to good use.
I tried ridding my bike in the snow and went down a lot. It’s always a surprise too! Mud is a lot like incredibly slippery. Glad you were ok.I’m thinking about buying the KPX but I’m worried I’m to short 5’ 6” with a 30” inseam.
Great watch
I had ran that exhaust on my other motor, and when I said I was surprised at how different it sounds, I meant different on this motor. When I said the bike seems to climb hills better with the current tires, than with the knobbies, I meant comparing when both motors were stock.
I know, and am surprised. I feel like a fool for putting my face shield down, and repeating things. I remember putting my helmet on several days ago, and the microphone was up against my jaw, so I stuffed it into the little opening were the chin strap comes through the padding, so that's probably the reason, but it's nice to be able to make videos on the Hawk with decent sound. Take care Soap. Thanks for watching my videos.
Great video - your audio is clear on this one too!
Thanks Soap !!
Very nice ride! 🌻
How are service intervals
I realize that I said ,I put my stock exhaust back on, but I meant the aftermarket exhaust. LOL
I was wanting to clarify about the Mail Carrier for Given. His , or maybe Her's now, route runs out of the Ripley P.O, and the carrier took the mail to the Given P.O. for the very few P.O. boxes that they had , BUT the carrier also delivers the mail all through the Given, and Rock Castle area.
Have you had to do the ecu reflash on your bike at all?
Yes, I had it reflashed.
I just realized that I had accidentally hit the thumbs down on your comment. Sorry, I meant to hit thumbs up.
Yeah, It's easy to get to confident. I just hit an incredibly slick spot, and went down with no warning, like being dropped through a trap door.LOL.
Chuck, glad you're ok buddy! 🌻🌻🌻
You’ve got a beautiful part of the country to ride in there. Enjoy your rides and my new kpx 250 also.
I realize that I referred to Point Pleasant as Gallipolis once, and I realize that I mentioned the same thing a few times, but I wasn't sure how I was going to do my editing. LOL
Yeah, we got the rain, but didn't get as bad of wind as a lot of people. The Ohio is running high, and water is over the roads in several spots in Mason County. I have seen some of your new scooter videos, and that one gets up to 40 mph lightning fast. I think that Sunday is the next decent riding day. I look forward to seeing more of your Hawk videos.
Hope you’re well buddy had one rough weather around here today.
Nice ride. Nice woods. Tough to hear you though. A lot of speaker interference i think. Curious what you're using? But man that country accent is thick lol. I'm from Pittsburgh but people always think I'm from the south lol.
I'm just using a cheap microphone that I got from AliExpress in this helmet. The one that came with the camera is in my helmet with the dark shield, and it's a little better, but not great. I have the camera set to wind noise reduction. I don't know if it makes a difference. I have a Wolfang G420 water proof camera, but have just been recording lately on 1080 ,30FPS, so I can upload faster. I have the microphone snapped up in the padding of the helmet pretty much around the ear area. I probably should move it closer to my mouth. I also cheaped out on my micro SD cards, and ordered a pack of 5 off brand ones for really cheap. I may need to get a couple better ones.
@@chuckwayne7715 I hear they sound decent. They just don't get very loud
I will probably try moving it towards my mouth, or at least from under the padding. The bike is pretty loud under throttle as well, but I will figure something out, or have to get a better external microphone.
I'm not sure but I think I saw at least one tombstone up on the bank across from that big backhoe This is a link to " The last gallows that I mentioned . ruclips.net/video/TQ9UxCc30IE/видео.htmlsi=Y8G9y1SpUb78D2nm
That's pretty cool history
Not sure exactly where you are down there but have you ever heard of the cheat River loop? Goes through Pennsylvania Maryland and West Virginia
I want to ride some of it sometime. Would be an hour or trip down for me
@@danielpatrick368 I live in Evans West Virginia, which is just a couple miles West of Ripley WV. It is in the Mid Ohio Valley of West Virginia. I haven't heard of the Cheat loop, but a lot of people consider Ripley as the official starting point of some cross country ride, but I can't remember it's name. I plan on making the trip to the New River Gorge someday on either my Hawk, or KPX.
@@chuckwayne7715 yeah you're not very close i don't think. It's back up to the top right corner of the the state. & Crosses the skinny section of Maryland.
I need to make the ride up to point pleasant someday
Yeah, You don't live real far. I saw that you had a video when you and your Wife were at the Moth Man festival. The way in this video was about 9 minutes slower than the main road. I came back on RT62 to Leon, and then took Leon Baden road back to RT87 that day, but didn't record it. If I take RT87 , and then Rt 2 , I can get to Point Pleasant in probably 25 minutes,or so. You could probably take Rt 62 all the way, and probably be in Point Pleasant in 40-50 minutes. I may see you on the roads one day. I plan on, (but may never actually do it) riding to the New River Gorge someday. People probably think I'm crazy riding my Hawk so much more than my KPX, but I think that the Hawk is just more enjoyable. A little less refined, but no less comfortable to me.
I think something is wrong with the microphone,or my SD card had had it. It sounds like the bike is missing sometimes, but it's not. I have been recording at 1080 ,30 FPS, so I can upload faster. That may have something to do with it. The bike is running just fine though.😂
looks like a beautiful area. God bless you Chuck
Yeah, It's a nice little ride. God bless you too.
I dig the round headlight too
Tried those in sand?
No, About the only time you get into sand around here may be pulling out of a creek crossing. The red , and yellow clay, is probably about the greasiest stuff that you are apt to encounter around here. The tires are not going to be great at anything, but good enough for everything that I ride in. They definitely corner better on pavement than the knobbies. I have another set of rims on a parts bike with good knobbies, so I may switch from time to time. I got both tires, shipped to my door for $110.00 after tax, and have around $30.00 in new Tusk 2mm tubes.
Yeah, There has always been something about my Hawk that I can't really put my finger on, that has made it my favorite bike. I have a KPX, that, on paper, is rhe far better bike, but I just can't warm up to it like I did the Hawk.
Nice ride
Hawking around 😂
Pretty area
We lived up on RT33 , and I was glad to run some of those roads again. I live in Evans now, and ride as much in Mason County, as I do Jackson.
Hearing the Hawk go brrrrrrrrrpp is so satisfying
Better weather to come
Yep, I think we may have seen the last of the real cold weather, this year. And the fact that we "Spring Forward" in just a little more than a week helps too.
Let’s go! Good video Chuck! 🌻
I forgot that the stock cluster doesn't have a gear indicator. LOL
This is the type of riding the Hawk was made for. It’s a perfect bike for unpaved dirt roads.
Yeah, I enjoy the backroads.
I kept saying 30 jet, and 25 jet, but meant 130-125. What I thought was a schoolhouse, is very likely an old Church. The last third of the video is all paved road, and main road.
