Laminated Hardwood Boomerang DIY Tutorial
Nature's polymer the original plastic .
I find it easier to straddle the other side and pull the rock towards me. A snow scooper also makes a great sled.
I have been in positions where rolling towards me offers the best leverage, or is even the only way to get the next roll, but it's always scary!
It might seem silly to some people but im a one man land scaper and this is really useful info to me
I'm glad to have been of use, thank you for watching.
Your such a cool guy 😊
Ha thanks but I'm incredibly boring in person. I'm only RUclips cool at most.
@@AytwitEngineering well RUclips banned me for trying to look at Virginia creeper under a microscope trying to tell me that I was showing people how to make controlled substances and drugs. Real life people are more interesting than RUclips. Don't sell yourself short.
why slide when you can roll em?
You're weird haha
An addition could be to embed some axels on the device under the stone and above the track. It would have to be a thicker platform, but then bigger stones over longer distances could be completed solo.
Good idea. Maybe just some rollers too, though it would be a bit more tedious swapping them out as it rolls along.
If that's 2 tons your really a super hero.lol 4k lbs man gtfoh.
These kids are comedy gold.
Been there, done that, wish to god I had the ability to fast forward too.
😆
POINT 9: I wouldn't call it "Hippie Crap" even if it is a hippyesque principle. An easier way to explain it is to say it's more "organic". You're making something with your hands using a simple machine rather than a machine that does all the work and fast. The result might be identical - but the feeling of being more "hands on" and having made something through your own toil and skill easily beats the power tool made version. There's a good feeling from this, a good vibe and connection with the workpiece. It's probably why you use wood and hand tools. You can liken that to handwriting a letter instead of sending an email; making some of your tools/accessories instead of buying; entertaining a woman you love rather than with a prostitute... ;-) When I was younger, I prefered working with metal and plastic because they are more consistent (grain/knots) and reliable (to me). In more recent years, I've begun to enjoy and value working in wood, not that I'm that good with it.
Great comment sir. One can become very consistent and precise with wood, but it's definitely more of finesse process than with metal. It's like tuning a guitar. A guitar can be tuned to perfect pitch despite all the "inaccuracies", as long as the tuning knobs work. You often have to make a piece "tunable" in the same way during the construction process. I'm the opposite as you, not good with metal at all and am trying to learn that now!
Great idea,and works well.
comment
😂 works for me omg you guys thinking outside the box
You are awesome. Thanks. 🍻🍺
Get a second Iron bar and more wood. 2 by 4 are great. Get a tractor. lol
Finally found a resolution!
I just bought a vintage stanley 358. It's a beautiful old tool. We don't really need any particular reason to use something we like. . My version is about 100 years old. It is a professional grade tool and I'm proud to have it
The amount of safety lessons these boys missed out on is incredible, unless you were trying to show these boys how the Egyptian build the pyramids (barefoot and all). PPE
I ain't got no fancy modern book learnin' as far as safety and PPE like you guvnah, but as far as the pyramids, go back to primary sources like Flavius Josephus. The original pyramids were not built by Egyptians as we know them, but by the Sethites. And these people were not barefoot savages like myself, but a highly advanced technolithic culture. We are cavemen in comparison. Later pyramids built by the Egyptians you allude to, were like a cargo cult that tried to copy the original pyramids and failed miserably. Those pyramids (over a hundred of them) are all over Egypt in rubble heaps right now. Maybe because they were barefoot. Maybe the Sethites had steel-toed boots and goggles and masks and ear plugs and PPE courses and that was their secret!
Bare feet🤣
Definitely cleared up some questions i had. Thanks!!
What are you sawing through, petrified wood?
Pretty close. This was a standing dead tree that had solidified into some super dense wood. Check out a technique called ringbarking or spotbarking where you do this intentionally to create super wood: ruclips.net/video/76nTzxNxGCs/видео.html That said, my saw was dull too.
I kept waiting for you to break the window.
Enjoyed this very much. Great job‼️👀

Oh my goodness, your basement is a black mold generator…super dangerous for your health, family and pets.
The mold is one of the reasons we moved out. And also why I spent so much effort on the dehumidifier situation. Most of the mold was already there from previous owner and was dormant, but would come alive again if humidity started building up. The "super dangerous" part is what you make of it. Reality reflects what you believe. If you believe it's super dangerous it will be. Once one understands the reflective nature of reality, things like mold become more about ambience, an annoying bad smell that reflects your own inner moldiness due to laziness (e.g. not spending a lot of time on a nice dehumidifier setup). Every house in humid climates that was built in the past few decades has a "mold problem' by default, whether people are aware of it or not. Most are not aware because they take care of only the visible problem, then it's out of sight out of mind. Thanks for watching!
Great idea thanks for the tip
you can also maneuver pvc pipe under the rock a few of them and combine with your boy scout ratchet pole method
Like rollers you mean?

Great Work. I'm going to do the same. From Brazil.
That is granite. I would not want you to be igneous of this.
Lol. Did I claim it was Basalt in the video? I forget. If so it's because this on top of a trap rock Basalt ridge a little back into the woods. I like to imagine ancient civilizations using precision mortarless tongue and groove cast granite blocks here and getting wiped out in a cataclysm, with their blocks slowly eroding away over thousands of years into these boulders everywhere. But then again probably just Basalt!
I Love this... Got this Job Myself.

Beautiful job dude!
The blade is a Tuttle for hardwood, but this is why you don’t use handsaws for hardwood. The video he shows was of guys cutting softwood with longer one man cross cuts.
Awsome. ❤
Was on my way to zip tie the shit together.. But your method is simple and works better.👍 2 months later I just saw the video again thank you for the reminder I now know why I have little balls of plumping strapping..
Zip ties was my first goto also but the legs are slightly tapered so they'd slip off. You'd have to modify the legs somehow, for example adding a screw to each leg to keep the zip tie near the top of the leg.
Where do you get a pry bar like that?
Genius
Wait. I was watching some of your videos about making a stone driveway. In the final video you were moving out that house. Now I see you are still there. What's going on?
